“Seriously, this is the worst shopping and delivery experience I have ever had.
I ordered a bed frame, and when the delivery notification came at 8:30am on a weekend, I was briefly out having breakfast. I rushed straight home, only to be told the driver had left just five minutes earlier. I was then forced to reschedule and pay an additional $40 delivery fee.
To make things worse, rescheduling can only be done a week later. The driver refused to come back, even when I offered to pay extra. I urgently needed the bed frame within two days so I would have a place to sleep.
Now I have no bed to sleep on. This is truly unacceptable. I have never had such a terrible furniture-buying experience in my life, and I will be sharing this experience with everyone I know.”
“Brought a dining table from them had for less than a month , it developed all these patches, we hadn’t even entertained on it. They take no accountability, blame the consumer to get out of honouring warranties. Family member has a very similar table from them and they “ over use it/ treat it poorly “ and not one stain on it. The table is not fit for purpose , not durable so in that case it is faulty. We will be taking this further as a consumer we have rights . Please see the photos . Absolutely not acceptable. Something you would expect from Temu.”

“I am disgusted on how Focus on furniture have treated my 87- and 82-year-old parents, they purchased a $4500.00 lounge suit, it was delivered in November 2023, on delivery it was damaged, recliner never worked and corner armchair was built on a angle, plus you put your foot under the lounge and you can lift lounge up and down with your foot, they wouldn't replace it but sent technician, he told my mum who is 82 and weighs 57 kilos that she sits on the couch to long and that she should stagger where she sits, they said to rotate position of where you sit to allow the lounge to wear evenly, what a load of rubbish, they eventually took the armchair away but once returned it was worse than before, and we notified then the same day, they sent out the same technician which again repeated the same phrase as before to my parents, disgusting, they refuse to repair even though iy is under warranty to repair it , but it was delivered like that from day 1. DO NOT BUY ANY PRODUCTS FROM THEM THEY ARE RUBBISH, BEWARE THEY TREAT THERE CLIENTS LIKE RUBBISH, WE WILL PURSUE IT FURTHER.”

“Bought a Melvern dining table some 2years+ back. The table top develop several cracks and we approached Focuson Furniture for support to restore the cracking damages. We were told that warranty had expired after one year, and they could not support restoring the table top cracks. It was very disappointing to learn that we had unknowingly bought an inferior product as most dining tables are supposed to last for years. Buying a bad quality product is one thing, but having poor and no customer support from Focuson is what customers do not expect. Felt so much let down by this store, and I shall remember not to come back again. Be aware before you buy.”

Buyer beware - it was all MDF/chipboard covered in a very, very thin layer of veneer, and the advertising and specs shown in store (on the table) says nothing about this MDF and chipboard, so potential buyers, and people who have actually bough this are under the belief that it's all-solid hardwood.

“bought a leather lounge a few years ago. The leather started to discolour and wear non the lounge chair. Asked for someone to look at it. Send email and photos (the norm these days). No you haven't used the leather products on it. We had and continue to but no compensation. Our daughter has the same problem with the same lounge. Wouldn't deal with them again.”

They won’t speak to you on the phone and hide behind emails and “management” I bought a couch in December and was told the fabric was the same as another couch I purchased from them only to get it and it’s an itchy fabric that I absolutely can’t stand and have been told I can’t even exchange it for something else and that’s their policy on the matter and that’s it.”
“I bought 2 x new leather lounge recliner chairs and the leather was creasing on one straight out of the box and looked nothing like the display leather in the shop which was full and creaseless. I complained. They came and picked up the chair and fixed the rip creases in the base and returned it to me but now the headrest was too low because they raised the seat with more filling. The chair is so uncomfortable. I now have lower back problems because of the chair not fitting me right.”
“Everything. Purchased three seater couch. Material immediately started pilling. Complained as only I sit on this couch and have no idea why this is happening. Was sent a shaver in post. Really is that your way of fixing problem. This couch is not 12 months old and needs recovering. “Ordered 6 dining chairs over the phone after I had viewed them at the Kotara store. I paid the deposit and then waited 3 weeks for delivery. Two very rude delivery men turned up at a side door. I asked them go to the main door which is one flight up. They refused. They said it would cost another $30.00 to carry them up 12 stairs. At no time was I asked whether they needed to be carried upstairs. Instead they dumped them at the bottom door and told me to sign the docket that said they were delivered undamaged. They were boxed so I couldn’t see what condition they were in. I had no way of getting them up the stairs as I am in my 60s. I rang the kotara store and reported their lack of assistance and unkindness. They promised to call back but of course that didn’t happen. I will never purchase anything more from them.”
“No after sales support!! Purchased Como sofa package, only to find out the 3 seater back and one of the side panels has damage. Was advised by the store to submit online after sales care request or call the support number. No response. The contact number if you call just rings out and then directs you to submit the request online. Impossible to engage with their after sales support.”

The service guy came out and confirmed the putrid smell, it was replaced with a new one and same thing smells bad.”
