“I recently purchased a new car from Speedwell Kia Exeter in collaboration with Forcescarsdirect in September 2023. Unfortunately, my experience with these companies has been deeply disappointing and frustrating.
The primary issue stemmed from a significant oversight: my car was never registered in my name. This is a basic yet crucial step in the car-buying process, and it is unacceptable that nearly a year later, I still had not received the V5C document to prove ownership and register the vehicle. This failure only came to light when Speedwell Kia contacted me to check if I had received the V5C, which I had not. It turned out that the car was still registered under Forcescarsdirect, and only then did they take action to rectify this error by contacting the DVLA on my behalf.
As someone who serves in the armed forces, I had hoped that purchasing a vehicle through Forcescarsdirect, a company that specifically caters to military personnel, would offer a smooth and efficient process. Unfortunately, the lack of after-service and the apparent negligence left me feeling as though I received sub-par treatment. This experience has been incredibly disappointing, especially given the trust I placed in these organizations.
The very essence of these companies’ business is selling vehicles, and the failure to complete such a fundamental task reflects poorly on their professionalism and reliability. The prolonged delay in resolving this issue not only caused unnecessary stress but also made me question their commitment to customer service.
I sincerely hope that no other customers, especially those serving in the forces, have to endure such an unsatisfactory experience. I expect much more from companies whose sole purpose is to facilitate vehicle purchases and ensure a seamless process for their clients. Unfortunately, Speedwell Kia Exeter and Forcescarsdirect have fallen short of these expectations.”
