“Shocking customer service!!
The monofin we purchased was made in wrong colours and we had to argue about this over multiple e-mails. Freedivershop did not accept their mistake. They still won't accept it today.
A photo sample was given to the shop and the exact same colours requested as per the sample provided. They suggested we enter White/Black in the order form, and assured that they will forward the sample photo to their production team. My guess is that they never did, or forgot to, and when we complained why the monofin was made in default colours, they used the order form against us as "proof", ignoring the fact that they suggested us to place our order this way.
But it gets worse! After first use, the foot strap broke and needed to be repaired. This had never happened to us before, yet the shop again blamed the customer. They blamed us for not knowing how to put the fin on! Despite us being an experience user, and having bought another monofin earlier which never broke!
At this point we asked for the fin to be re-made or a partial refund issued. This was ignored, and all we got was a repair-at-home-kit sent to us. They even stressed it was "free of charge"! Amazing generosity....
After over a year we contacted the shop again about any fiberglass repair kits, because the blade of the monofin had cracked. Of course, the shop never responded. No surprise there at all.
What is also alarming is that Freedivershop hides their location and does not disclose any information as a registered company. Their given locations in the USA, UK, Germany and Japan seem to be "mail-forwarders" and not their offices or warehouses. You can simply see this by Googling their addresses.
And lastly, many items are being re-sold at higher prices, such as Leaderfins and ELIOS wetsuits. However they advertise that they offer the best prices, which is false information.
Can this shop be recommened? No. Especially when there are many other businesses that are willing to help and offer examplery customer service.”
