“Don't trust FlexiPay – Credit frozen without warning
We have used Funding Circle for years and never had any issues with the company until today, when our £30,000 FlexiPay facility was frozen without warning. We have never had any issues or missed any repayments and, upon calling them up, they were unable to provide any information other than "a lot of other customers have also had their credit limits frozen".
I would speculate they are having financial difficulties and cannot lend. According to City AM they are cutting 120 jobs, made losses of £33.2m in 2023, and their share price is down 80% since it listed on the London stock exchange. There doesn't appear to be any other reason to be withdrawing the credit of so many loyal customers.
Based on this experience I would advise not to use or apply to FlexiPay, as clearly they can withdraw the facility without warning for no reason at all.”
