Called Express Insurance today to request a simple transfer of Insurance from one 125cc Scooter to another, I was told their system did not allow this and that I would have to cancel my policy which has 9 months to run at a cost of £40 cancellation fee and take out a new policy on my new scooter, I have therefore lodged a complaint but I am not expecting a satisfactory result having read other negative reviews this basically meant that I could not put my scooter on the road today and have to await their reply before I can come to a decision To say that I am disappointed would be an understatement

Advisor was a joke told me that they couldnt swap my bike insurance over and chargex me for cancelling avoifd these cowboys

I changed my bike on an existing policy. The new bike was the same engine size and value as the one I already had insured with them. My existing policy had 10 months left on it and I have 9 years NCB. They charged me almost as much to change the bike as I originally paid for 12 months and the new policy is only running for the remaining 10 months and cost almost as much as I could insure the new bike for 12 months elsewhere. They also increased my excess at the same time. If I wanted to cancel the policy and go elsewhere they were going to charge me £50 to cancel, not much less the original 12 month premium. Typical insurance company rip off.

Never updated there system means I lost years no claims because of them and now having told my new insurance I had 9 turns out because of there mess up I have 8 now got to pay more money to change details with new insurance. express would not even look in to it to change avoid them happy to take money till there's a problem

A terrible company, sent me A threatening bill saying I cancelled my insurance. They did not send any documents out so I had no way of contacting them & I did not know who I was Insured with. Got some cocky guy called Dublin in customer service who was very unhelpful with my situation. I'm honest but don't like getting ripped off. My insurance was cancelled & they want a lot more money than the policy u paid, after 7 months. Sold bike had no docs so how could I contact them to cancel?? Tried to explain but got no help at all. It's their fault not mine but showed no helpful attitude whatsoever. Do not use these.

Avoid at all costs, they don’t send paperwork out so you can’t cancel a policy. A very dodgy company. The customer service is full of cocky unhelpful inflexible people. A sham of a company.

Avoid at all costs! Took out insurance for a 125, after passing my test bought a 650 bit the company they had put me with wouldn't upgrade my policy, tried to argue that if they couldn't provide a service I shouldn't have to pay to cancel. They said they would provide quotes for another year from other companies...well over £1000!! when I had had quotes elsewhere for £300 as I refused their ridiculous quotes they charged me £50 cancellation fee and I lost 6 months no claims. Phone staff are rude and in helpful. Went to Bikesure instead, staff were a dream and got my quote as low as possible. Never again Express, bunch of crooks!

Insurance has gone up, I now have a extra years NCB, also compulsory excess gone up by over £200 !!!! Rang up, no offer to review or talk about price increase. TOLD THEM TO CANCEL AUTO RENEWAL. They won't send proof of NCB. I need to ring up and request after policy lapses.

Hopeless. Took out a policy on a motorbike only to be told 3 months later that the reg was wrong and I'd have to pay £17.50 for the 2 minutes it took them to change it on the phone or £50 cancellation charge on a £80 policy!. I think this is probably a scam they play on alot of people. I will never use them again.

Absolutely disgusting I tried to buy a policy with them and they told me everything is included and then when I bought the policy they tried to tell me that no I have to buy them at extra cost plus they give me one quotes on confused.com and then they tried to say no we don’t work with them company so how did they give me quotation on your behalf if you don’t work with them obviously your partners I don’t recommend it I’m cancelling my insurance now when I tried to call them the phone is not working they told me to give them a good review and I’ll pay me £50 as well f that they told me they’re going to send me an email about my policy it’s been three hours they haven’t sent it

Avoid avoid avoid!! I got the insurance policy then the next day my dad had a cardiac arrest and went into a coma - I had to travel 4 hours as my dad lives away from me and stayed there for 3 weeks, about a week in I realised they had requested documents so I rang and explained my situation of being away from home due to my dad being in a coma and all my documents were at my house 4 hours away and I asked for 5 day extension as I had plans to go home they said yes on the phone then emailed me two days before the documents were due saying they have now declined the extension and that if I did not have them in my policy would be cancelled. No compassion no customer service skills, just a god dam awful company!!

Avoid at all costs! I Was on holiday they requested 14 days reply for photographic evidence 2 months into the policy not straight away like any other insurance company does and then cancel my insurance and charge me a fee for them doing so. Absolutely appalling company. 11 attempts to call them and emailed them. They advised me they didn’t have any emails when I have the proof. Now insuranced with another company and have had no issues.

I had a policy with these, my renewal came due and was over double the previous year, so made a call to their office to tell them I wouldn't be renewing, about 2 week before my policy ended they attempted to take out £157 for a renewal which obviously wasn't there at the time, they then proceeded to cancel my policy with only a few days remaining although they had already taken there last payment, claiming I had faulted on my payment, I now have some bully from Hellix trying to demand payment for Kwikfit insurance, (they cant even get the company name right) I have explained I have my policy schedule and a copy of all my payments made to Express Insurance but obviously he is not interested, really want them to take this to court so that I can show all my evidence to an independant individual so this can end right now...

I took out online insurance through a comparison site, got no acknowledgement email, found that they had taken the premium ***twice*** from my bank account despite me having spent 45 mins on the phone to tell them that it was pending. The money still went out the next day, and I have just spent 30 mins hanging waiting for customer services to answer. Eventually got through by calling the 'new quotes' line to hear that it would take 3-5 working days to be refunded - yet there was no problem with them taking the payment immediately TWICE!!! I was then going to cancel but found it would cost £25 for the privilege - even before my docs have arrived. I wouldn't go near them again to be honest...

I was sent a letter on 20th June 2016 to advise me that my insurance would be automatically renewed on the 12th July 2016, and there was nothing I need doing; when I called yesterday just to make sure everything was done smoothly, I was told that I had no insurance as it expired on the 12th July, so the adviser quote me a new premium in much higher price to the one stated on the letter originally sent, I had no choice but renew as I was out and couldn't arrange another insurance yesterday. unprofessionalism is an understatement with Express Insurance. bad service and unreliable, not what you expect from a insurance company!

My 17 year old son got insured for his moped, he simply stopped paying as his bike was off the road, no documents were signed , he should have told them but he's 17 right. They are now threatening to sell his debt to a collection agency, it's for £160, I explained the situation to them but less than interested they seem to get off on threatening kids DO NOT GO NEAR THESE CHARLITANS!

Don't ever transfer your policy to another car mid way thru your policy as they won't inform your bank, accuse you of cancelling the DD and cancel your insurance! Avoid at all costs!!!!!!
