“Not happy at all. The global ancestry report seems like nonsense and the deep ancestry is more like a standard ancestry report. The confusing array of different reports is scandalous. The qualitative explanations are very poor. Feel ripped of spent $98 on two reports, one provides we with no more information than MyHeritage, and the other is completely useless. Also the British ancestry report is a scam - it is just bait-clicking to another site.”
Michael, I am sorry to hear your experience. This is Tomo, co-founder of Genomelink. I will DM you to view Reviews.io separately so that I can investigate your results. Thanks.
“I had to research which genetics company was the most reliable, as genomelink, 23 and me, and ancestry were giving me different results, genomelink being the most fantastical. Although my findings strongly indicated that ancestry is the most reliable one, I mostly just feel like I gave my DNA info to companies that help cops solve crimes, or at least pin crimes on people.
I am am idiot.”
“After seeing many videos talking about how great Genomelink was and that it was free. I decided to give it a try. To be honest it hasn't given me anything more than what I already learned from Ancestry. Everytime I open an email and click on the link, it is asking for more money to reveal information. I have received so many emails. I simply can not afford this nonsence. Don't waste your time!!!”
“Total scammers. I bought their lifetime plan before realising all they do is ask whether you agree or disagree with each trait about yourself, eg, “You are more likely to be fit” then numbers 1-5 and if you agree, slightly agree, totallly agree, slightly disagree or disagree with the statement you select a number. They ask around 100 of these statements then use your answers to prepare a portrayal of you. They haven’t done anything though - you have told them all about yourself by selecting whether you agree or disagree with statements. After realising that they only know about you by what you’ve told them I asked for my money back the day after purchasing. They have refused to answer my request and subsequent requests for a refund”
“After going through the trouble of making an account and uploading my DNA info from another company I had tested through previously, I was disappointed to find out that not only is each individual feature and report they offer a price of about $50 (give or take), but the database they claim you’ll be able to see all your family connections from other DNA companies is extremely limited. It only has other people that have also gone through the process of uploading their information to this specific website. The ad is very misleading and I was disappointed.”
“The information is just as vague as every other platform. The daily attempts at upcharging. you is so annoying, after a week, I'm about to delete my profile. Waste of money!!!”
“Based on the advertisement, I was excited about using Genomelink. I paid for two distinct analyses. The results received were broad and unspecific--EASTERN EUROPE, BALKANS, NORTHWESTERN EUROPE. These areas are populated my many diverse groups. The anaylses did not drill down into any of these groupings. The adversiement appeared to promise much more indepth results. I am frustrated with myself for wasting the money on your product.”
“This is a total money grab. They give you just enough information, leaving you thirsty for more. Want more? $39.00 for your heritage background (special offer of course). Want to see weekly updates?$$$$. Want to see matches? &&&. Want to know a deeper dive into your heritage? $$$. Want your heritage dna all a5 once, instead of one trait a week? $$$. This is my biggest disappointment yet from a program that offers all you want to know, then charges for every little thing for completeness. Stay away! Unless you have $$$$$$ to throw away. Stick with Ancestry or MyHeritage. For relations it gave me. 4th and 5th cousins. Want closer relations? You guessed it. $$$$. I know for a fact my entire family of siblings dna tested. Did not match them at all! Only for $$$$ can i see closer relations. Buyer beware! $$$$$$$ SCAM!”
“I think this site is more Of a rip off. And I would like a refund. Just like Ancestry, which does give you more information, it’s a tease. You charge so much more for a little information, let me rephrase that for a promise of more information.”
