“These trousers are the answer to my search for gardening in the rainy, windy, cold Pacific Northwest. They fit perfectly and the padding at the knees is wonderful. Thanks!”
“I've just bought the Genus Waterproof gardening trousers and I'm delighted. Even in the last few days of heavy downpours they have kept me totally dry. I now have three pairs of Genus trousers for winter/summer, dry and wet weather. I do agree that they properly understand gardening and gardeners.”
“If trousers can be awesome these are. The best outdoor performance fabrics, beautifully made, with pocket features like no one else. I have had my primal pair of three season for two years and am going to buy the fully waterproof pair next”
“I have been wearing the same pair of Genus gardening trousers for five years now and they are still going strong. They are the most comfortable pants I have ever worn for gardening. The stab-proof pockets are brilliant, the kneepads mean I don't have to carry a kneeler or get sore or wet knees. All in all, a brilliantly designed product.”
“The gardening trousers are quite expensive but felt it was worth it, pre purchase. The waterproofing goes within a month, after only 1 wash. The belt buckle is inferior plastic. Trousers were €200 so quite expensive for the quality. I wouldn’t recommend at all. Customer service suggested I had tightened the belt too much, which I hadn’t. Sure, a belt is meant to hold the trousers up! Knee pads need to be thicker also. They also tear quite easily if brush off thorns. All in all, disappointing. I’m going to buy Fjallraven now. My wife also bought a pair, non waterproof, and she had same issues, including a double break in the belt buckle. They sell replacement belts on their site, at €20, same quality by look of things.”
“Excellent products, winter and summer trousers bought and wouldn't by any other brand now. Expensive so some may be put off, business expense in my case so necessary. Secateur pockets a game changer!”
“$150 pants made in China. Seams on front coming apart after one season landscaping. Fabric rips easy and holes already forming. Their site takes down negative reviews. So don’t believe all the praises. They are comfortable but really overpriced.”
“The gardening trousers I purchased from Genus were brilliant. Hard wearing but comfortable, padded knees and multi pockets, including a special one for secateurs make them the best garden wear I have ever found.”
