“What words can I use to leave a powerful negative review for a automotive engine Tuning site that sells high performance upgrade engine parts and tunes. I have a golf r mk8 that I had previously tuned to a stage 2. I want Tune the TCU computer to upgrade my transmission which is a DSG but at that point they did not have a tunable upgrade download so I could not upgrade my transmission the following year I purchased a whole TCU computer board that I placed in the transmission. This board I can't remember exactly how much but it was over $1,000 maybe $1,500. I spoke to someone around Christmas I ordered the stage 3 tuning and they told me that time to upgrade my TCU to a stage 3 would also cost $150. So I budgeted it for the ECU tuning and the TCU tuning and the new turbo unit. When this was all installed they charged me $250 for the TCU tuning. Since I don't know, didn't know wasn't told what stage my newly bought TCU was I just assumed it will be a normal upgrade from stage 2 to stage 3. Now I complained to unitronics about this and they told me that the TCU board was a stage 1 and to upgrade to stage 3 it would cost $250. When I order this I had no idea I was going to spend $250. When I phone unitronic about this they referred me back to the page where it indicated that from stage 1 to stage 3 was $250. Remembering back to when I spoke to the sales rep at unitronic they didn't mention to me it was going to cost $250 because they weren't thorough enough and knowledgeable enough to know that the TCU I bought was a stage 1. But all said after spending $10,000 on this company you would think as a good will gesture if nothing else they would reimburse me $100. I told them since I'm unhappy I will post a bad review like this and they indicated to me then no problem.”

“I bought the stage 1 tune ECU and Transmission tune. I have yet to do the transmission tune due to a compatibility issue. With that being said, I was completely caught off-guard by the quality of tune stage 1 is. After the flash I took my 2008 audi tt FSI 2.0 for a 20 minute test run. The difference in acceleration and "pull" my car has now is noticeably better. I can't emphasize this enough. 2knd gear was the most noticeable, but overall my car is considerably faster. The price is obviously a factor but if you want to maximize your cars HP Unitronic has got you covered. I currently have the cold air intake and flash done, my catback comes Sunday. Now I am even more stoked to get the exhaust in because it should benefit a bit more overall. No check engine light, minor hiccup due to outdated factory firmware on the EVU but was solved in 2 minutes with a phonecall.Thanks Unitronic, forever a customer now for all my tuning needs”
