“I gave a one star review because zero…
I gave a one star review because zero stars wasn’t a choice. If you are reading this review, PLEASE believe every word I wrote. This company is a SCAM! If you’re reading other reviews that are good, it’s most likely that they were fabricated and made up! This company practically begged me to hire them for my needs. I was harassed and constantly called by the sales team to use their services to convert my screenplay into a novel. I was super hesitant and skeptical of using this company with how the sales guy talked on the phone. He was very redundant in his speech. It took me 2 months to make a decision on moving forward with them. Oh, what regrets I have!!!! First off… the initial conversion of my screenplay was $1000.00. It was very rough and needed a lot of editing especially on the grammar and spelling and sentence formatting. I was surprised it was written as poorly as it was with “professionals” writing my conversion. That was the first red flag! I then spent $6,000.00 more to start the marketing and publishing phase. I was told by John (sales manager) that I would have a double return on my investment in 12 months! That’s $14k right!? Get this… this company hasn’t sold one copy to date. And it’s been 13 months!! I received 100 hard copies of my book and ALL 100 were messed up on the front cover. They weren’t even centered correctly. I had a book release party and needed those copies for the release. There was no guarantee that they could get them corrected in time for the party, so unfortunately I was forced to keep them. After the book released.. we kept finding grammar mistakes and spelling, etc. week after week. I had to actually read my own book half a dozen times to make sure there weren’t any more mistakes. I was charged $1000.00 for editing, and I basically edited 80% of the book myself! Unbelievable, I know. They made a video trailer to promote my novel and said it would be on social media and on my website. The video made was actually really great. But guess what? Never made it to my website and I have never seen it on a public platform anywhere. The only time I can watch it is on the link that they sent me in a private email. The list goes on folks! This company will hound you and practically beg you for your business and make you all kinds of promises with the success of your book revenue! Listen and Listen carefully. $7k I have invested and not one penny, NOT ONE have they generated for me in book sales and/or revenue! I have sold 40-50 copies and I did so on my own through family and friends! This company hasn’t sold ONE. LET THAT SINK IN. Do you want to trust your hard earned money with false promises and guarantees and then be let down and discouraged with lies and deceit? Don’t do it. Don’t make the mistake I did! In closing.. we have requested $2500.00 be refunded from the $7,000.00 we invested so we can move on to a different publisher and marketing team and they have refused to do so. We are currently taking legal advice at this time and possibly perusing legal action towards ghostwriting universe. In hindsight… The only thing right about their company name is the ghost. That’s what they’ll do after you give them your money. If anyone wants to know more, feel free to call me and I will give you any more details needed to answer any questions you may have about this bogus fake company!

What I loved best about Ghostwriting Universe is that they keep their clients informed and updated; this made it easy for me to maintain track of the work that was completed. Their service was overall good, and I will not hesitate to use them as my editors in the future.”
