“Three hampers bought at £25 each through Amazon, which looked really nice in the photos. When they arrived I was really disappointed. My wife costed the contents at just over £5.00, which sickened me. Gifthamperz enclose a leaflet requesting that customers email them before leaving a negative review, so that's what I did. I included the draft of my review and asked them to contact me, or I would post my review. Gifthamperz emailed me asking what I wanted. Note that at this point Gifthamperz we're not claiming that I had breached Amazon feedback policy, or made threats. I replied requesting a 50% refund, which I consider to be reasonable as the mark up on the contents of the hampers was 5 times! And Gifthamperz asked me what I wanted! Gifthamperz emailed me back stating that they had reported me for breaching Amazon feedback rules by making threats! I contacted Amazon, who confirmed that Gifthamperz had breached Amazon feedback policies as they are not allowed to include leaflets requesting that dissatisfied customers contact them before leaving negative feedback. (Gifthamperz apparently forgot to tell Amazon that they had done this when they reported me to Amazon!) Amazon issued me a full refund on the basis that the goods were unsatisfactory. I am very grateful to Amazon for this, but its a shame that it is out of Amazon's pocket and not Gifthamperz, as not only are their hampers a gross rip off, but additionally, when you have the decency to contact them at their request before leaving a negative review, they show their true colours as to how nasty and underhanded they are!”
