“I recently read your article on the merle gene and in which breeds it is acceptable. First of all, I don't consider golden doodles and cockatoos to be breeds. My confusion on the article comes from how this gene can show up out of nowhere in dogs from two breeds that aren't supposed to carry said gene? And it is acceptable in those dogs?”
