If it was possible to give zero stars I would. We have been waiting for a refund for over a year for paying a previous tenants debt. Saying we owe them almost £3000 and not to mention the excessive monthly charges for gas we barely use. They are making it impossible to leave them and constantly threatening us with excessive charges and refusing proper a contract where the monthly fees are capped. Do not go with this company. We’re currently in talks with a solicitor and even considering writing to a paper with our story. Stay away from them!

Worst company I have ever dealt with Wish I could give a minus 1 star review. Worst company I have ever dealt with! I have been informing Green Star energy for over 12 months that my app does not work!! I ring up all the time about this and still nothing has been done to rectify the issue. They were taking the wrong amount by direct debit from my account for months which caused me to become £700 in arrears. They also increase your direct debit without informing you. I can not wait to switch utility companies. Please please please do not use green star energy.

I truly wish I could give minus 1 star because this company might actually be the worst company in the UK to deal with. Horrendous, abysmal, extremely useless customer service. Their staff are incompetent, their billing is incomprehensible, even inexplicable by their own representatives. My sincere advice is keep away from them, unless of course you are a committed stress junkie because this company may possibly be your worst nightmare. They may bring about a fiscal crisis in your life. Certainly capable of bringing about an apoplectic eruption that may possibly damage not only your health but also your closest relationships as well as bringing about a financial crisis. Just ask my wife! Last month I had to buy her flowers, this month it cost me dinner. I have been warned that the next eruption costs me a spa break. After months of trying to resolve my account I am still no nearer to settling this account. I am desperate to regain my equilibrium and ditch these atrocious shysters, whose bills jump up and down by thousands of pounds. Honestly, their bills go up and down like an elevator from month to month and their representatives can't explain this incredible phenomenon.

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. Cannot give no stars or a negative star or I would. Worst customer service I have ever seen. TO BE HONEST THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NON EXISTANT. Sick of e-mailing and getting nowhere. No bills sent out. Wrong tarrif. Asked if I had a Hot Tub, Jacuzzi, Electric Car etc.which would account for high usage, then declared I must be messing with smart meter. Informed them messing with meter a criminal offence so please call Police. Answer as no longer my supplier they cant do anything. CEO Ms Thornton does not answer or even acknowledge e-mails in fact no one acknowledges e-mails phone calls or anything else. They now trying the intimidation tactic of debt recovery. Fine. Wont be intimidated. Matter now with the Ombudsman. PS Changed to British Gas dual fuel and low and behold first quarter bill arrived couple of weeks ago showing nearly £400 in credit. This company should not be allowed to supply anything. Couldnt supply fish and chips properly. Totally useless in every sense of the word. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID YOU HAVE ALL BEEN WARNED.

Went with Greenstar after signing up to the Energy Club for a better deal away from the big six energy companies and would have paid less had I been on a premium tariff with British gas! It's SO expensive and a complete con in my experience. Like some other previous customers, when I came to leave I was landed with a £738 bill plus after paying that they asked for a further £45 and it was never adequately explained why that amount wasn't part of my final bill. TERRIBLE service and avoid them at all costs. Feel like I've been conned. I think this might be the next PPI scandal.

I'm begging everyone to please avoid avoid at all costs it will cost you hundreds more in the end. Was in green star for a year then they increased my bill so I left. Never missed any direct debit payments and now 6 months after leaving they emailed me for a bill from 2017 to 2019 of £700 as a final bill. During my time with them they ever once contacted as I was paying through direct debit. Absolutely disgusting company.

One to avoid from me. Bills went right up and I wasn't told until I was nearly £2000 owed. Customer service is weak and there are much cheaper providers out there if you want fully renewable. Look elsewhere folks.

This company does not deserve even one star! absolutely terrible customer services. Agents not listening to the problem and just saying anything to get you off the phone. DO NOT GO WITH GREEN STAR!! YOU WILL 100000% REGRET IT

Do not use this company, I have been with another company, Informed them I was leaving, paid my last bill, now they say I owe them Hundreds of pounds. I left them because I had lots of trouble with them, just kept putting The bills up.

My stepfather passed away in May 2018 and used Greenstar for both his gas and electricity. The house sold a year later and I received a final bill for almost £1000 despite the utilities being turned off shortly after his death. I took photos of the meter readings at the time which greenstar have accepted but 13 different final bills have been generated with differing amounts and even £56 in credit at one point. Their staff are unhelpful, rude and terminate the call if they don't like what you say or question their calculations etc. 17 months later, the matter has been referred to the Energy ombudsmen who say it could take months to get resolution.

THIS COMPANY IS A STRESS TRIGGER!!!! STAY AWAY FROM THEM I seem to have inhatited this awful company from my landlord who sorted it out for me. I moved in June last year and they were impossible to contact. Before I knew it, they pilled on a whopping £885, claiming that it was an estimated. All this took place in the middle of summer. Shocking! So they tricked me into choosing a payment "plan" so that it would appear like they're helping. The repayments are too heavy. Just two weeks ago they emailed me saying I owe £675 and today 8/9/19 they've pilled on another £400! Now I owe them 1,065!!! WITHIN JUST 2 WEEKS.

See Breakdown 08 Jun 2019 11340.0 Customer Read 20 Jun 2019 11387.0 Read 2 2 Aug 2019 12341.0 Closing Estimate Energy Used 1001.0 kWh @ 16.696 p/kWh £167.13 Balance At Your Last Bill £160.62 I paid them - Payment received - 07 Aug 2019 - thank you CR £160.62 Your total bill stibulates that I owe you £229.27 for the For the Period 08 Jun 2019 - 21 Aug 2019. I had already paid you £160.62 for the period of 08 Jun 2019 - 2nd August 2019. The outstanding balance for the period - Period 08 Jun 2019 - 21 Aug 2019 should be £229.27 less the £160.62 that I paid you on the 7th of August, 2019. Which should be £68.65. The bill for Period 08 Jun 2019 - 21 Aug 2019, should be £68.65 and not £229.27

This is my first time writting a review and have to say this company is terrible. I have not been good in giving my own readings but whne my bill doubled I felt I better to reduce my payment. There is only one person living in the house and they expect £130 a month for gas and electric. They have lost the first meter reading and they are 300000 units out. So I took the trouble to get the first reading and then gave it to them and you would think with a bit of calculation everything would be sorted. No!. I am now getting emails stating I have I am due them money. So as a result I have STOPPED payments and said that as this is their mistake they wont get paid till they sort it and I am now going to change suppliers however I am going to have the hassle of explainging why I am due the previouse company money. What a nightmare as I never owe money. This company is slow inept and totally unorganized. Dose anyone have the details of the management of Greenstar energy as I am wanting to take it to the top now. I worry about vulnerable people how many people are being overcharged this way.

PLEAE PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!! PLEAE PLEASE for those who are looking to join this company as there supplier. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. I have only been with this company 7 months. Iv always paid quarterly and wanted to do the same with this company. Greenstar where happy for me to sign up and after that I heard nothing. I kept submitting meter readings to keep my usage up to date. 2 months in I kept calling them to advise they don’t have my bank details and they advised they will call to take my details. 3rd month in no bill received and no bank details taken. I called customer service advising I have no bill and you don’t have my bank details. I am now over 6 months in and they finally generated a bill and expect me pay for this. They apologised it taken them 6 months to send a bill as oppose to 3 months I am now left with a hefty bill and have logged a complaint with them which I am still waiting to hear back from there complaints department with a resolution. They want to put me on a payment plan which I refuse because I am fine paying every months 3 months NOT 6 monthly. Especially when Iv been chasing them for a bill!!!! I have been informed this has been an error and they have had internal problems with generating bills. I want express to those please do not join this company I been given the run around to date they have ploughed me into debt, I have a outstanding bill over £1000 that’s need be resolved due to there error and no one from there side is take responsibility, what a Shocker, NOT. Once my case is resolved I will closing account and going back to a repeatable company like EDF or British Gas. I Iv notices other people have been treated the same way and I have and hope this company gets what’s coming to them as they cannot treat customers like and think that’s acceptable!!!! Their customer service and complaints team are based in Milton Keynes but you can only speak to the customer service team which is a waste of time. They can be contacted between the hours of 8am-10pm on 08000124510 should you wish to try!

I got lumped with Green Star due to the previous tenants at my flat using them. I got put on their 'standard' tarrif which has meant my daily rate for that period of time was 2.5x more than my current provider, for the same property! Of course they string you along in the mean time. I had no letters sent out telling me even what energy provider I was with. Its beyond a joke and should be legal. I signed no agreement with this joke of a firm.

I got put on their 'standard' tarrif which has meant my daily rate for that period of time was 2.5x more than my current provider, for the same property! Of course they string you along in the mean time. I had no letters sent out telling me even what energy provider I was with. Its beyond a joke and should be legal. I signed no agreement with this joke of a firm.
