“Hard to do much of a review so soon. The radios were shipped out and recieved in a timely manner. And they turned on and had the click when turned off. Knob on one seemed a bit loose, but nothing to really complain about. Just waiting on my dept guy to get them programmed to put them to the real test. Bought 2 of the refurb Motorola 6550 and had the vol swit=ch replaced so I knew it was on or off.”

“Radio I ordered wasn't in-stock, they offered to send the rf deck, the head was not in stock. I did asearch of their stock and found a replacement. They gave $25 off”

“Fast shipping. Two SL300 units varied in overall condition a bit, but vey acceptable at the price. Cosmetically, they were cleaned up nicely. Accessories and .3rd party batteries worked well. The master transmit oscillator was off 500 Hz in one, needing an adjustment with the Motorola Tuner software for DMR operation with a hotspot. Overall, very pleased. I recommended to others who had a similar positive buying experience. Oh, units would not take a firmware upgrade due to being locked to a n expired service contract at a radio shop. The Motorola CPS could not recover the radios to allow a firmware upgrade. A minor inconvenience. Both radios worked with CPS 2.0. Only one worked with both 2.0 and 16.0 Build 828. This was probably because of different firmware on the two radios. I was able to add custom audio prompts to both radios easily.”

“Price was excellent. I don’t believe the picture listed was the radio I actually received. There was some minor surface damage what appears like it was dropped and scratched on concrete/asphalt. I wish that would have been listed in the ad.”

“I needed to replace a radio that went missing in the field (the camo print works exceptionally well!). I ordered a refurbished and tested set: Midland GXT1050VP4 Oak Camo FRS Radios with Charger × 1. The price was right, the radios work well. I did need to charge both radios before I could use them, and one battery was so shot that I didn’t think it would charge. After troubleshooting a bit, it seems the charging contacts on one of the sets was not conducting enough energy to revive the dead battery. After swapping the battery packs between radios, it charged without issue, and now both radios charge fine. For a refurbished radio that I assume was sitting on a shelf waiting for a buyer for some time, I don’t mind. I’m happy with the purchase and the price.”

“The Motorola HT1000 I have is in great condition and I was able to find a new battery on Amazon to restore it to full operational status, since I was contacted that no aftermarket batteries were available. However, there is only one problem and that is programming it. I have no idea how to program that and apparently the software used to do it on these old Motorolas, were only functional with old obsolete operating systems like Windows XP. I can’t use the radio now in fear of an FCC violation of the law. I only wish that Haloid would offer programming services beyond having to buy bulk, but other than that I was happy with the actual condition of the Motorola HT1000.”

“Radio is very good quality for refurbished. Looks like brand new. All accessories look like new. Radio works great. The only issue I have had is with the microphone that I ordered to go with it. I can hear calls and radio traffic, but I can’t respond back. Wondering if I got a back mic.”

“Good Morning, I have just finished installing the unitrol on one of our Harbor Patrol boats. It is working as it is supposed to. However, when it arrived the lever switch was stuck in the closed position. It was bent. Fortunately, I was able to bend the lever back into a position where it could move again without breaking it. Otherwise, it was a good purchase”

“My order was delivered as expected. However, when one of your reps replied to an email, with a question about programing software, I felt that the reply was "scolding" me for asking. A simple, no we do not offer programing software, would have been enough for me to seek it elsewhere.”
