“The online shopping as well as the delivery was very smooth and quick with a notification by SMS where my bottle got delivered as I wasn't home. The delivery costs were a bit high but the bottle was pretty well wrapped so from my point of view ti was worth it. Really satisfied with HTFW online shopping.”

“Hello, everyone out there! I had my "maiden voyage" with "Hard To Find Whisky" this week: I ordered a rare vintage bottle of "Glengoyne 16 Oak Wood" on Monday. And, let me say this right at the beginning of my rather epic review: the service and condition of the product I received is absolutely first rate! Now, let me tell you in detail why: first of all, I had already abandoned all hope of finding a bottle of this Glengoyne - I had been roaming the internet high and low and not found this whisky anywhere... until I chanced upon the "Hard To Find Whisky" website. I was very happy to read that this rare bottling was "in stock". The next positive aspect that I noticed was that on the "HTFW"-website there is a currency transformation button that makes it perfectly easy to pay in various other currencies but pounds. As I live in Germany, this made things a lot easier for me. When I actually placed my order last Monday,I sent an accompanying e-mail to "HTFW" requesting to take great care of the condition of bottle and cardboartd tube - this is something one is quite queasy about when the whisky in question is supposed to become a real collector´s item. After several bad occurrences of that kind in the past, I was not too optimistic. Well, I received a spontaneous mail by Joe when he was in the process of packaging my bottle, reassuring me that he was taking great pains in selecting the whisky and wrapping and packaging it securely. On the Monday I ordered the Glengoyne I also ordered three other whiskies online: two in Germany and one in the Netherlands. Now, guess which of the four whiskies arrived here first (just two days after I had ordered it!) It was the one from Birmingham (which is by far the most remote place of the four from where I live!). The next positive surprise came when I opened the package: the tube and the bottle had been so meticulously bubble-wrapped that on the long way from Birmingham to Rhineland-Palatina nothing could happen to the shipment. And, last thing: the whole product was in an absolute perfect condition: no blemishes, bumps, scratches etc., nothing. From all this I could gather right away that those guys at "Hard To Find Whisky" do not simply run a business, they love what they do! And now I also know why this company is called "Hard To Find Whisky": the name of the company does not only mean that they sell rare malts, it also means that the attitude they have towards their Job is "hard to find"! All in all: I can warmly recommend "Hard To Find Whisky" to all whisky lovers (maybe not to those who consider "whisky" a cheap bottle of Jim Beam with Coke). Slainté! Martin Quarck”

“Hello, everyone! I ordered a rare vintage bottle of Whisky at "Hard To Find Whisky" two days ago. The customer service I received right from the start was first rate: a spontaneous e-mail Feedback, a confirmation that my order had been carefully looked after and - last not least - a very fast delivery! I ordered four different bottles of whisky on the same day - two in Germany (that´s where I live), one from the Netherlands, and, well, one from "HTFW" in Birmingham. What can I say - the fastest delivery was the one from "Hard To Find Whisky" (and Birmingham is not exactly just around the corner from where I live!). The next positive surprise came when I opened the parcel: you could instantly see that everything had been packaged with utmost care. I´ve never seen a shipment wrapped, almost "swaddled" as this one. So, accordingly, the whisky was in A1 condition - even the bottle inside the cardboard tube had been bubble-wrapped individually! From all this it is easy to gather that hese guys at "Hard To Find Whisky" do not simply run a business - they love what they do! So, if you look for something special as an "aficionado" you should order right there! Bravi! Best whishes and slainté! Martin Quarck”

“HTFW were great to buy from - they had a huge selection when other more well known whisky sellers were already sold out. Delivery was fast - my order on Thursday turned up securely packaged on Saturday. I'll order from them again.”

“Orderd a pair of hard to find whiskey glases on wednesday noon, they were shipped the same day I ordered. The parcel was very well padded and shipping to Germany was very quick, they arrived friday morning. Communication was also very good (Tracking Number, Order, etc.) Everything perfect :-)”

“Great selection of products as well as great communication but the price of shipping to the US is steep. I ran into an issue with customs when shipping two Blade Runner Whisky Glasses to the US due to a very ambiguous item description on the shipping manifest. Apparently "Glasses" was interpreted as "Sunglasses" and caused some confusion that caused a few problems. It took a few additional days for me to clear that up with the courier but after that the items arrived timely and if it wasn't for the customs issue it would have arrived within a couple days. Hopefully in the future they can be a bit more specific on the description such as stating "drinking glasses" to help avoid such issues. However, the communication prior to the order was outstanding. The item was packed well with bubble wrap but the gift box in which the items were contained had a crushed/distressed corner, luckily the actual glasses were in great condition. Overall I'm pleased with the purchase and I'd more than likely order again but as an international customer (from the US) and now knowing what I know about customs, I'd definitely take some precautions and do some additional research prior the next order. I am loving the whisky glasses though...so it was worth it.”
