“BEWARE SHORT-DATED FOOD being sold! The company's response to my complaint was that customers need to phone before ordering to check the expiry/BB date of the food, which is preposterous. Expiry information or minimum expiry should be clearly displayed on the product page.
I ordered 25Kg of Sussex Wholefoods Organic Oat Groats which was expiring 12 weeks from the date of delivery. A hotel might be able to use this that quickly, maybe a shop. Not recommended - there are other more honest sellers online selling fresher produce. They did offer for me to return the item, but refused to pay for the return postage for a 25kg item so I was stuck with it. I will shop elsewhere in future.”
“When the pandemic lock down started in March 2020, I began to purchase items from Healthy Supplies, principally because they stocked a brand that I was not able to order direct from the company.
The first order arrived in two large boxes and the delivery man showed me that there was a gaping hole in one box and about one-third of the items were missing: that box was rejected and Healthy Supplies re-sent the missing items. Its contents had included a milk alternative carton which had leaked.
Online companies were under huge pressure at the time and I wished to support them but I made sure in two subsequent orders that I ordered nothing that was liquid nor in glass jars. The boxes arrived intact but continued to be poorly packed, with never enough wadding materials inside.
Today I received a new order from Healthy Supplies and one of the two boxes had completely split along one of its shorter edges. I do not believe any items have fallen out but feel that the items are now sullied.
Healthy Supplies had used a box which originally had contained bamboo products (tissues, kitchen roll etc). Totally insufficient thickness/strength for my order, which weighed many kilos. I will now shop elsewhere.”
