“The driver first drove to an incorrect location. This made me uneasy as a woman travelling alone in a foreign country. When I pointed out it was the wrong location the driver began to scream and yell at me, which furthered my uneasiness. The driver then took me to a second incorrect location. When I indicated that it too was the wrong location the driver screamed and yelled at me some more, saying he would not drive me anywhere else unless I paid more.
When we finally arrived at the correct location he refused to let me take my personal belongings out of the vehicle until I paid him. I did not have any cash on me as I understood from heathrowtaxi.net that there are no extra charges, nor did I have internet access for doing an etransfer. The driver continued to yell and scream at me and tried to make me use his phone for an etransfer, to which I kept saying no because using someone else’s phone is not a safe nor a secure payment method. The driver got on the phone with the company and kept telling me to listen to them, which I was unable to do as I have a hearing impairment. I felt unsafe, as I was alone with this driver yelling at me and I was unable to call anyone for help.
I don’t know what happened in the phone conversation between the driver and the company but the driver finally let me have my personal belongings and drove away. Then I received an email demanding I pay £20 and claiming I made changes to my destination, when it was the driver going to the wrong location which caused those changes. The overall experience was appalling – rude and unprofessional service conducted at the expense of the customer’s sense of safety and well-being.”
“Travelled from Heathrow Terminal 3 to our hotel in Cardiff (5 of us), driver arrived just on time, ride was pleasantly smooth, car turned out to be clean, spacious and comfortable.
Booked through their website www.heathrowtaxi.net and had received an confirmation email with all the details that I could have hoped for within the same day, really helpful and lovely management too, especially Mark who made everything crystal clear for us.
Price was great too for a larger ‘MPV’ car, long journey but a relaxed one after a 8 hour flight!”
