“I've sent TWO lots of one-off £20 donations to this charity. The first £20 note was sent to them in their pre-addressed envelope-so i've no reason to believe they didnt RECEIVE it, sent absolutely MONTHS ago now. Unlike all the other animal charities i send payments to, i rec'd NO "thank you for your donation" confirmation email from Hillside, but like an idiot, when their 2nd donation appeal circulation arrived (June) i sent another £20, choosing this time to "adopt a dog" with them- giving my bank card details this time, so i could check they'd at least rec;d it this time. This was taken from my bank mid June-but to date, i've rec'd NO adoption certificate, and NO photo's of the dog i'm meant to be adopting, as promised-NOTHING again. I've since read some bad reviews elsewhere.
I'd assumed as the great actor Martin Shaw was PATRON of this place that it was all legit, but it seems they've just taken my funds and not bothered sending my dog adoption certificate/photo's, no thank you email like i get from every other animal charity.
PLEASE dont give your hard earned money to this place-if they cant even be bothered to send a payment thank you quick email to people it's a sorry state of affairs! I sent them a long email directly today, but dont hold out much hope they'll bother to reply. APPALLING.”
“Appalling that so many people donate thinking it’s a charity, when it’s a company.
They claim they need donations of money, hay, carrots. They have plenty of money to cover legal, barrister and court fees.
Maybe they should use that money instead of conning innocent people”
