“I ordered at the bar from the menu that was on my table. I realised I was overcharged and queried it and it turned out that the old menu had been on the table and that prices had gone up. I said that that wasn't very good and a manager/supervisor was consulted who just said that the wrong menu must have been on the table and there was nothing they could do about it. I suggested they check the tables to make sure the right menus were there. I was not happy with the response and felt that this was poor customer service. The bar person was however very apologetic and pleasant unlike the manager. It wasn't about the overcharge which was not a large amount but about the response and ot accepting responsibility for the error. However we had ordered a carvery but when we got to the carvery area there was no one to serve us and we waited for several minutes untul the same manager was passing by and we asked if there was anyone to serve us. She went into the kitchen presumably to get someone. After a few minutes the chef came out and impatiently started to serve us, again we were not impressed! The restaurant was not very busy. We have used this restaurant many times before and everything has usually been OK so we were very disappointed on this occasion with our experience.”
