“I came at beginning of last month with my wife. The Place was very busy mid- week. The gentlemen on the floor was very Welcoming and helpful . The Carvery was delicious. We look forward to coming back again .”
“Came here for neighbours birthday on 17th March. Was served by Sam, absolutely adorable lady, always willing to help and do extra to make your experience here good, she brought us some stuffing on a plate as when we went to get carvery it was still cooking and not out, now that’s service!! The carvery is always good, hot, plentiful, enough. The staff are always nice even at the most testing of times, hats off to them, I certainly wouldn’t be able to put up with some of the general public! Would always recommend hobby horse.”

“I ordered at the bar from the menu that was on my table. I realised I was overcharged and queried it and it turned out that the old menu had been on the table and that prices had gone up. I said that that wasn't very good and a manager/supervisor was consulted who just said that the wrong menu must have been on the table and there was nothing they could do about it. I suggested they check the tables to make sure the right menus were there. I was not happy with the response and felt that this was poor customer service. The bar person was however very apologetic and pleasant unlike the manager. It wasn't about the overcharge which was not a large amount but about the response and ot accepting responsibility for the error. However we had ordered a carvery but when we got to the carvery area there was no one to serve us and we waited for several minutes untul the same manager was passing by and we asked if there was anyone to serve us. She went into the kitchen presumably to get someone. After a few minutes the chef came out and impatiently started to serve us, again we were not impressed! The restaurant was not very busy. We have used this restaurant many times before and everything has usually been OK so we were very disappointed on this occasion with our experience.”
“Just met a friend for a christmas breakfast gst together. Food was lovely. Mostly Sam the lovely member of staff was very friendly with a friendlier smile. Its a pity there isn't more Sams around!! Good work sam.”
“Visited on Sunday the 31th August and was told there was no mash as the machine was broken which we was fine about.. As it being a Sunday the carvery was super busy as expected but this did not effect the quality of the food .. The cauliflower cheese is to die for definitely worth the money. We will be back..”
“I took my 2 granddaughters and their friend for a breakfast buffet. The girls enjoyed their breakfast and we made great use of children eat free with an adult meal.
Sam the waitress/ bar tender was very friendly and couldn't do enough for us.”

“The service was good. But once again the food fell short. Chi curry had 6 small pieces of chicken of various textures and half a bowl of sauce. Nan was only half. Not sure what the mango chutney was. Tasted more like BBQ sauce. Spoke to girl who asked if she should talk to the chef. Great place to take Grandchildren. But not for food,other than the carvery 😪”
