“We had a wonderful gentleman called Stephan come and fix our New York kitchen seating. It had flattened and we were sat on springs. Stephen refilled both seats and tightened the band. The filling is what is used for cars, so comfy to sit on. He was amazing and the work was finished to perfection. Thanks so much x 🥰”
“they have zero respect for their customers
they cancel appointments or change to suit themselves teice we were left waiting for hours for nothing despite a time agreed in writing
he couldnt be bothered to find parking so just drove off after we waited hours
one of the worst companies i have dealt with”
“Appointment was booked in very quickly and the gentleman who turned up adhered to all social distancing guidelines and did a great job of repairing the fault on my recliner chair. Very pleasant and polite and would happily deal with this company again.”
“This is an appalling company.
Judging from the negative reviews including some from money saving expert, they are incompetent scoundrels. Some of the words from other reviewers to describe them are, incompetent, scam, cowboys, woeful, unprofessional.
We had the misfortune of meeting them when Luke the manager of Furniture Village Friern Barnet & Stevenage sent them out to asses a claim.
We had purchased an expensive bed frame and a top of the range Hypnos Ortho Extra Firm King Size mattress, separately.
But Hypnos said the guarantee was invalid because it had been laying on a substandard bed base ie substandard = Any slatted base over 7cm.
Our slatted bed base sold to us by Furniture Village has 9cm gaps and 10cm in places. Thats a whopping 3cm and 4cm over industry standards. And Furniture Village also has a warning on heir how to care for your mattress section telling customers not to buy a slatted base over 7cm. so why do they give that advice and then sell one to us that is 9cm and even 10cm in places.
Photographs do not lie please take the time to look at the the photographs.
Unbelievably Furniture Village warn against buying a slatted base with has gaps in slats over 7cm , but the report by the incompetent engineer found nothing wrong? We also have a picture from the Furniture Village website showing that there are 14 slats missing from our King Size base (Yes 14) compared to exactly the same one on their website. The Homeserve repairs engineer the tried to tell us it's a different base, even though the name is the same, the serial number on our invoice and the pictures on their website show it's the same bed base. You could not make it up, its like something A Carry On Film script.
We mistakenly thought Homeserve furniture repairs were the Ombudsman :")
Nothing could be further from the truth.
Please commission a report from a truly independent furniture repairs company, there are some great ones out there but homeserve furniture repairs are not among them.
One stat to leave you with 9% of Furniture Village customers are happy with the service and products they sell, and these woeful incompetents work hand in hand with them.
That, and the pictures we have uploaded say it all.”
