“The video of the repair and the tip of keeping track of which screw went where by using a paper template was very helpful. I drew one for the case screws and one for the battery pack screws. I was very impressed with the tools that were sent. Super simple repair thanks to iFixit!”

“This was my second Pixel 7a battery replacement. The whole process went pretty well, better and faster than the first replacement.
I bought real Torx Plus 1IP and 3IP bits (plus a nice 1/4" bit driver from iFixit). They were a bit expensive and hard to find, but they probably make things go better -- I didn't have any Torx issues.
I used the iFixit iOpeners, even though I have a heat gun (which is hot and noisy). (Since it seemed less expensive to buy the whole battery+tools kit, than battery+adhesive strips, I had two iOpeners.) The iOpeners did the job, but it was nice to have two of them when I loosened the battery adhesive.
My second case opening went much more quickly than the first. I used more heat and more force.
On my first battery replacement, I broke the flash board from the rest of the assembly. The second time, I heateded the flash board more, and then carefully used a utility knife to remove the copper foil.
I had difficulty getting the case adhesive properly in place, when I was reassembling the phone. There is apparently some trick to doing this nicely, which I haven't learned yet.
Overall, the battery replacement was straightforward, although tedious. I'd do this again to keep my Pixel 7as going.”
“Love the fact that ifixit sells the verified parts, the tools, and has solid guides to help you with the repair. I just completed a PSU replacement for an Xbox Series X and it went incredibly well. When I purchased the part I opted for the magnet whiteboard with the grid on it and I highly recommend it to anyone. Being able to note the step # and screw size is very handy and made re-assemlby a quick process.”

“I was looking for a micro SD replacement for my son’s switch and saw on Amazon that someone commented to just order from IFIXIT. To my surprise, the rating were great, so why not pay a little more for an outstanding product that I know would work. The product came a lot faster than what it estimated it to be without any problems. I was able to swap out the parts within 20 minutes and have it up and running again. So far, we have had no problems with this product, and if needed, I would most likely order again from them for whatever else it is I need. What made me give them 5 stars is due to them reaching out to me via email to ask if everything was okay. Usually these companies take your money, send you whatever , & that’s that. But not with IFIXIT, they wanted to make sure I not only received my product, but I was also able to fix it using their “How to” tools. Something I really appreciated.”
