“Bombarded with telephone calls and emails after opening an online account. Account manager Jeff was arrogant, rude and evasive. Wanted to close positions but online account was made in operative. After two evasive emails was informed that I could only sell by calling them on the telephone. Returned funds via direct debit and have not received to date. Asked Jeff for his managers name and email address and he refused to provide it. Absolutely terrible customer service at IG. Numerous other providers have a far better attitude. Avoid IG at all costs.”
“IG claims to be one of the leading brokers and surely they are scam. I've been trading with them for more than 2 years, they always change the settlement prices and then claim that their charts are not accurate. If the charts on their website are not correct how do they expect clients to trade, for example if you place a trade and the market settles at 10091.55 on their live chart, they will say ooh sorry the correct settlement price was 10094.66
They would claim this price to be on third party platform.
They will steal your money be warned!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

“Quick enough to take money from my account but trying to withdraw funds is like getting blood from a stone. I was told the reason the cannot pay my money directly into my bank account is because I have to be with them for a while and "build a good relationship with them". Just closed my account I'm going with FXCM instead.”

“I don't know where your lightning fast execution is.... ever tried taking a position during an economic announcement?? You leave enough of a delay to see if the trade would move against you and if it does it's rejected, however, if it moves in your favour you don't update to the new price contrary to your claims of giving the best prices. Even when trades are taken quickly, the slippage is massive. Also, your spreads become ridiculously wide during these times also.”
“I've been a customer with IG for over 20 years and have just closed my account. When their platform crashes it is impossible to make contact with anyone by either phone or chat and as a consequence you cannot trade. I learn't the expensive way.”
“problem still not resolved. Took over 24hrs to reply to my first email in relation to the trade in question. Have waited another 12hrs+ for a response to my last reply, but still nothing. If this is the way customer service looks after its clients of over 15yrs working with you, then expect an exodus of clients to other brokers keen for business. Thank you, Keith (M2700)”
