I was a little scared to begin with...so much seemed it could go wrong. I followed Karl's instructions and was blown away. Simple, quick, tasty and now totally hooked. Am using continuous brew meth OJ d and playing with flavours at bottling. Ginger is my favourite..have used fresh ginger and dried ginger and both work very well. Great kit from Karl, excellent service, product and in information.

So glad I purchased the heating pad with my starter kit. Without it, I imagine brewing would be difficult during Tassie's winter. The mat heats quite gently and, at only 7W, won't use too much power. It may take a while to get my 8L container up to brewing temperature, and then I can play with the heat control to keep it steady. I just wish we could lose the EU plug+AU adapter. Although it seems to be OK as it is, even a Chinese plug (upside down AU) could make it more stable in the power point.

My first batch is underway. Yay! I'm glad I purchased the heating pad, as Tassie is quite cold at the moment. Thanks to Karl for putting together the kits and providing a site with so much useful information.
