I would strongly advise anyone not to use this firm. My experience with them was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. I instructed them to handle a simple transfer of equity that should have taken 1–4 weeks. There was nothing to negotiate, no legal advice required, and everything was already in order. Yet they dragged it out for 6–7 months due to a complete lack of care, organisation, and urgency. I explained multiple times that this was an urgent and serious situation. I was buying the property from my ex-partner, who (along with her family) had been violent, intimidating, and abusive for 18 months. Every delay put me at further risk, but the solicitors showed zero compassion and zero urgency. Because of their delays, my mortgage term expired and my payments doubled overnight. My ex refused to contribute, so I had to cover nine months of double payments alone — all while the firm made no meaningful progress. They caused financial loss, emotional distress, and even misplaced my paperwork (and lied about it). In the end, I left them and went to a new solicitor, who completed the entire transfer in 7 days — a clear sign of how badly Kew Law handled my case. Despite their incompetence, they still demanded payment. I ended up paying around 90% of their fees, not because they deserved it, but because after two exhausting years dealing with my ex, losing my father, and almost losing my mother, I had no fight left in me to battle them too. This firm is an absolute disgrace to their profession. If you value your time, money, or mental health — avoid them completely.

Contacted this firm to assist me in an probate matter. I was assigned Jennifer Hardy (Hadleigh Branch Essex). I was informed a meeting was required to discuss the matter and to pay £243.60 before attending. I received an appointment for 10:00am on the 22nd June 2021. I attended the appointment but was told by her staff that she was with another client and to wait across the road on a bench seat. (She was at this stage 15 minutes late). I requested to cancel my payment of £243.60. On the 12th July 2021 I received a letter that included an invoice for £183.60. This included £180.00 for care and conduct throughout and £3.60 for a copy of a Land Registry. I was informed that I was to receive a partial repayment of £60.00? The meeting never took place. I never even entered into the building yet I was charged £180.00? AVOID
