“Langua has a choice of Castilian or Mexican Spanish. While some of the spanish-speaking world uses one or the other of these dialects, I live in Costa Rica. Langua forgets that all the time. Mexican Spanish is not appropriate in Costa Rica yet Langua wants to force me into Mexican Spanish. Nothing AI about that. If you live in Spain or Mexico, Langua might work fine for you (usted). But not for me.”
Hi Miguel, we don't have Costa Rican Spanish because no Costa Ricans have cloned their voices with the 2 best voice AI companies, which we partner with to get the realistic audio. We do have lots of other dialects beyond Mexican and Castilian, but having every dialect isn't possible right now.
“Unfortunately the AI chat feature needs a lot of work. Its very slow. However It has a lot of potential for people serious about learning a language. I particularly liked the translation practice It s just a shame that its so slow its not really useable despite following advice from the service team. It is rather expensive compared to others. I just feel its not quite there yet”
“We have booked the lesson and paid. Fist time unfortunately because of time difference we have missed it. We have arranged it again, Second time there was problem with connection, We couldn't connect first 10 min. When we connected the teacher didn't answer. we send 7-8 messages. I have e-mail her. We haven't received any reply.”
Hi Dilara, this review is rather unfair given that you did not turn up for either of your sessions (the free trial and the lesson). Natasha is one of the highest rated tutors on our platform with all 5 star reviews. She also has not received an email. Our system shows you the bookings in your time zone and provides reminders. If a student still doesn't show up, there isn't a lot we can do about it.
“Had a great teacher. Organised a new one and set up a series of dates.. she then cancelled all lessons. The next teacher didn't work out and I am reluctant to book more even though I have credit.”
