I was a customer of LCN for many years. At one stage they hosted four of my websites. The service was reliable, the cost reasonable and the technical support really good. Staff were helpful, knowledgeable and pleasant; all communication from everyone in the company was first class. If reviewing them a couple of years ago I would have given them 10/10. But…oh dear…my experience of them now is that they are utterly woeful. I wouldn’t even give them 1/10. This seems to coincide with them being taken over by another company- but that is speculation, because I wasn’t told this. I have had no communication from the new owners to say that LCN was now part of their group. My most recent experience is when a long-standing customer of mine phoned and told me an email they had sent me had bounced back. Long story short- my mailboxes had reached capacity. I was not aware. I had no communication from LCN (or Namesco, or whoever they are now) to warn me. I have no idea how many other emails never got to me- not good when you rely on email as a freelancer for work. I immediately contacted LCN technical support on the phone- getting through eventually. I would be best off upgrading my hosting package, they told me, because I was on an old package. News to me. It would be more cost effective than buying more email storage. Foolishly (based on previous positive experience of LCN) I believed them and paid nearly £200 for a new package for two years. I was assured that this would work within a few hours and that the “missing” emails might even still get through. I felt reassured. However, emails I was later expecting still did not arrive- even a few days later. I sent myself emails from other accounts- they bounced back. I phoned again. I also raised a formal complaint. I was told that, yes, I had acted promptly but the problem was their “system failure”. They apologised and offered me two months extension on my hosting. I declined. I cannot afford to put my work in the hands of a company who twice seriously let me down. Reliability and effective communication are crucial with a hosting company- LCN failed. If a customer of mine had not had the decency to contact me I still might be in the dark. I asked for a substantial portion of my nearly £200 to be refunded as I would be ending my contract with them. No reply. Their complaints policy to escalate is to contact the Customer Support Manager- but no contact details are given. When complaints receive a reply, it is from a “no reply” address of theirs. I am moving my sites to another host- and having to write-off that payment of nearly £200. If you are thinking of using LCN, let my experience be a lesson- and avoid them. There are plenty of other good hosts out there. In the meantime, I am still waiting for the Customer Support Manager to acknowledge my email. I shall not be holding my breath…. especially as it is now 5 days since I emailed and their policy is to acknowledge within 2 days. Appalling. And any reply they make to this review needs to be treated with a huge amount of scepticism; honesty is not a virtue I have seen from them recently.

Do not trust this company. I asked then to turn off auto billing as i didn't know how to do it. They assured me it had been turned off. They lied and just stole £99 from my bank account

37 hours of downtime at the start of November 2020 resulted in some heavy financial losses for me. Loss of business and having to deal with / compensate my customers. Its now 4th January 2021 and despite having the ticket open from the weekend of the issue, I am yet to hear how they will compensate me. Their management team literally cannot be bothered. I tried to talk via their live chat, and I got cut off. So here goes another 15 minute wait which will once again, end without resolution.

I've been with LCN from the beginning (When they took over Telivo) and they "Were Fantastic". Since the recent takeover by "Team Blue" things have really gone down hill. Price increases, customer service none existent, ticketing systems taking a week to receive replies and a new backend system that is now shocking and looks like it's merged with all the other UK companies Team Blue has taken over (names.co.uk, Tagadab and lots more). It's not good. That personal service you used to have is now none existent. It's really sad to see they've gone down that path of no return. Even removing domain protection is now a nightmare, I have 150 customer domains with LCN and the time involved in migrating these to the likes of 20i is going to be a nightmare, they have us developers over a barrel.

your website clearly states you are open 7 days a week even during covid-19 for either email, ticket, or phone. I am in need of some support and advice and none of these services are available. Its a very poor service and it has become expensive, not worth the money and I resent my waste of time with such poor customer service.

I had several domains with this company. Year by year I transferred them to another places. I was an ordinary domain registrar, had no troubles with it. But since two months ago I discovered that I cannot access my account. Every time I login I got such a message “An attempt was recently made to access your lcn.com Account from a country or IP address that has not been granted authorisation. For security reasons, this login attempt has failed.” These idiots suggest me to access in "Security Settings", under the "Account" menu in your Account. Unbelievable stupidity – how I can do this if login failed ?. Same about support request – I need to login to open the case. There telephone line never answer for the last 2 months. I’ve already complaint to ICANN and waiting some action from them, but it seems to me I could lose my domain. Stay away from these scam!

I recently used LCN to purchase a domain name and create an email account for a newly formed company. They provide excellent customer support over the phone, the dashboard is easy to use and the email servers are fast and reliable.

LCN.com are a BAD UK company that bullies clients. They would not let me send plain text e-mail from my domain to my billing e-mail address saying it was SPAM. I only send mail to 1 e-mail address mine. They also have removed my hosting saying management don't want me. My site SwitchedOnScotland.com was for education only, i don't profit at all from this domain. LCN.com should be shut down for BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES bullying customers.
