The part that makes me think I should be using multi nationals is that it was clearly damaged before it was packaged. The box it came in is in better condition than the item. As for the 10lb monitor or the obsolete stand, you would struggle to sell these on Gumtree to be honest.
The purchase is a gift and I'm sure you will understand its highly unlikely that I will be using the little pieces of bubble wrap provided to send it back.
