“Why when sending e-mail 'sales order confirmation do you not check you have the goods required,as we accept the confirmation to mean that goods will be sent,only to subsequently get a phone call saying some items are out of stock,& chap on phone knows nothing about e-mail. It would seem left hand & right hand not connected !”

“We are a small enterprise which has traded with Lion for over 30 years. We have always had very good service - there has only been one item supplied in error (which wasn't Lion's fault) which was rectified promptly and without question. Online ordering is very straightforward.”

“Phone service staff are very good and helpful but trade counter not so good often long waits despite having phoned in order 2 hours in advance This could be helped by having a Fasttrack section for those who think in advance and just want to be in and out. A friendly and cheerful face is always nice !!!!! ?”

“The only difficulty I experience is with the quality of some mouldings, particularly natural wood mouldings, since the decision was made to restrict access to the storage area to staff (there was no problem when you could pick your own). Where mouldings come wrapped in pairs, it is difficult to be sure about the quality without unwrapping them then and there, and I have recently had two warped lengths.”
