I find the staff at Lion very helpful and friendly. Tony Walker, the regional sales manager for the south, has given invaluable help and advice to me over the years. I miss the trade counter at Hayes and the van delivery. It means I no longer have access to the blade sharpening service and the opportunity to visit and select my goods. I find the online order system easy and quick and have got used to using the chop service. Sometimes when I would prefer to purchase lengths rather than use the chop service, I find I do not always meet the minimum order for Lion to despatch the lengths which is inconvenient. The catalogue, as always, is excellent for choosing products as the descriptions are so informative. I find I am using Lion mouldings more than I used to as they have definitely improved the range available. Definitely a favourite supplier! Just one more thing - the Smarties I received with my April order were stale and discoloured, most disappointing!!

Great service and range of products. We used the Stas hanging system. It is really easy and quick to install giving a professional look. A number of artists have inquired about the system for their studios. We are a new Gallery based in the west of Ireland and delivery was excellent even though we left it late when ordering. The Art House. Achill.

I can't fault the extensive range of picture framing products that are available-excellent. I don't like the constant price 'creep' that happens on many of the core items- there are occasions where items have increased on every occasion that I have re-ordered. I would be more inclined to use Lion more exclusively if the product range was subject to an annual price rise, in line with all the other suppliers I use. Now for the biggest issue with Lion- on 3 separate occasions over the last year I've had instances when ordering online and paying over £500 I've had charges on my account for up to 3 times the amount that should have been charged- on following this up with accounts I am told that this is a fault with the payment service provider- this is all well and good BUT it then takes 5 working days for the money to reappear in my account- which was then well into my overdraft!!! on the first occasion this happened I was told it was MY fault for pressing the 'complete transaction/purchase' button multiple times- this may well be the case as having pressed the button nothing happened to confirm that the payment had been made! Subsequently on my next order I then ensured that I only confirmed payment once-THE SAME THING HAPPENED AGAIN! My bank account was then left without the correct amount of money AGAIN! I rang accounts and was told that this can happen when transactions are over £500 and that it may be best to keep the order under £500 or do 2 separate orders!?! That must be your sales departments dream having accounts staff telling customers to reduce the amount they spend???? Next order-kept UNDER the £500 'threshold' same thing happened again- couldn't be bothered to ring again- just fed up with the hassle. CHANGE YOU ONLINE PAYMENT PROVIDER!

The telephone staff have always been unfailingly helpful, and deliveries are very reliable. On the rare occasion where something has gone awry the issue has been dealt with promptly. Overall very happy with service and products.

When we started a framing business in Surrey over 40 years ago Lion, like us, was in its infancy, the service was excellent, very helpful for a fledgling framer. This efficiency has continued throughout the years without exception, many times we have asked for help and advice, always being treated in the same courteous, friendly and knowledgeable way. All members of staff have contributed to this experience. As a FATG accredited training school we always recommend Lion to our trainees, they also have had great service. I found a good variety of moulds to choose from and all I needed to frame an exhibitions worth of paintings. Professional and well priced. The catalogues are very useful.

I have always found Lion to be very helpful and pleasant on the phone and orders are delivered very quickly. As an artist and framer working on a small scale I find the minimum orders difficult to deal with and often have to order things that I do not immediately need. I find the chop service very good and the range of products excellent. Deliveries are always very well packaged to protect their contents. I have recently discovered that the website holds a lot of 'how to do it ' information sheets which I will make more use of in future. My last order contained a packet of Smarties which arrived at an appropriate moment to go with my cup of tea !!

The Lady who I spoke to when I placed my order was extremely helpful, and I'm pleased with the quick delivery of the chopped wood I ordered from Lion but feel the chop service itself was very expensive. Thanks anyway.

The service has been excellent. My only concern has been the warping of a few of the moulds sent to me in Kenya where the temperatures are no greater than those of an English summer.

I had an issue with an open box of smarties in package which spotted all mountboards. I also payed next day delivery but took 3 days. Quickly delt with, new boards supplied and a refund for delivery. Thank you.

Service at the trade counter is very friendly and helpful. The same can be said for the phone line. Orders always arrive within a couple of days with standard delivery. My only complaint would be that more care should be taken when packing moulding for delivery. I am often disappointed to find dents and marks on lengths of moulding. However, when I have complained it has always been dealt with fairly and quickly.
