“The hanging system which I have been very strong and dependable . I have found that after three years use the wire have become a little kinked ., though still perfectly robust . I have opted to use the smaller hanging hooks on the end of the wires to act as a small weight . This does two things . It helps to keep the wires straight and should one of the hanging hook slip ( which has occasionally happened it acts as a fail safe . I think little screw on weight for the bottoms of the wires is a good idea .”

“Ever since my first order with Lion 29/9/1998 (I keep my invoices !) I have nothing but praise for Lion and its staff. The product range offered by Lion cannot be beaten. I only wish there was a Lion in Worcester. However I enjoy the journey over there and looking around to see what's new. The new Click and Collect service is excellent, and any questions I have are always answered cheerfully by the excellent Customer Services Team. Kind regards Alan Yates”

“I use your chop service quite regularly and have noticed the reason some mouldings have to be replaced is not enough care is taken when picking the lengths, and leaving knots and other defects in the cut pieces or two different lengths which are of two different colours . It would save money in couriers to be more discerning.”

“Using the on-line system to place an order was very straightforward. However due to an error on my part it was necessary to correct the quantity ordered for one of the items. I telephoned the sales team and a very helpful person made the necessary adjustment. the order was processed and delivered promptly.”

“Not very helpful when I wanted to have some items collected. As I pay when I collect I am regarded as a second class of customer. This is why I have chop kits done by another supplier.”

“When service is more important than price Lion comes top every time. If the website says the item is in stock you can be sure of a speedy delivery. Prices are always competitive even if they are not always the cheapest and the range of products is simply the best from a single source. We use a number of wholesalers but there are some items that you can only get from Lion.”

“A great selection of mouldings and fixings available. I've always had a good help whenever there has been an issue with damaged or warped mouldings being sent to me. I still use a local supplier for all of my glass, mountboard, backing board and sundries as they offer a much lower minimum order requirement which can also be mixed, i.e £15 of mouldings, £20 of mountboard to make up one order, whereas with Lion the minimum £50 moulding (+vat) which can sometimes be a stretch when I don't have the orders in to make up the amount. That being said I still think Lion provide an excellent service and its not that much of an inconvenience”

“The only faults I can see are on the chop service, I give you the glass size and sometimes the allowance you add is not enough and the fitting kits have eight springs in them regardless of the frame size, do you do bags with more springs in them?”

“I had a couple of issues in the past with the mouldings chop, but customer service has always been very good and rectified the problems. Good selection of mouldings and products in general. Sorry that Lion South, the branch near London, is now closed.”

“I'm relatively new to the framing business and LION have become my point of reference for all my materials and kit. The range they carry is staggering - the delivery has been faultless and the website really easy to use. I've meet a few of the people at various trade shows and they're really approachable and very helpful. I can't really find fault with the whole operation as I've experienced it so far ...”
