“The rod was delivered as advertised. It came quick and was packaged well. Being from North America, we dont have many fly shops that carry Loop. I had my first opportunity to fish Loop Tackle rods this past year in Iceland and was really impressed with the rods power and forgiving action which seemed to mate well with a lot of different casts. The rods were more than up to the task of casting through the wind.”

“I’ve enjoyed using this rod. It replaces a loop rod that broke and they had no replacement for. I caught some 20 plus inch brown trout this week and it handled them well. Enough backbone but still pretty fun. It felt like a medium priced rod, similar to others I have, but not even close to my upper priced Hardys and Scott’s. I took a star off because at this price it should have a hook loop and I think it’s a little over priced for what you get. Nice rod though.”

“The rod feels great. After years of casting single hand I am learning Spey casting. When my form is good I can send my Skagit to the moon. One note is that the blank plugs were loose and I had a really hard time getting the handle side section to go back into place. The mid sections weren’t as bad because they were able to fall out. Something loop may want to have a look at.”

“Light on weight and manipulation. It feels a little wippy after trigger release sometimes driving the head towards the water. Had to release a little early. Otherwise the 5wt switch works very well with a Rip #7 scandi body shooting head.”

“since fishing catch and release,I use single hooks only and have experimented with various brands of hook.classic patterns in either feather or hairwing are my choice of flies rather than longtail flies and out of the 5 fish I hooked on the Loop singles 4 were landed this autumn so my initial thoughts are that they are a good single hook 4 landed out of 5 is a fair ratio I think andI have landed a good number of sea trout also , so a thumbs up from me tighlines everybody”

“Am pleased with this tippet material. Being from America I found it difficult to figure out the line diameter for the various sizes for it is scattered on the page where you select. Suggestion: Start with the highest or lowest test strength and work your way down or up to ensure the consumer knows the progression of strength when building a leader.”

“I haven't used it yet other than a couple of flicks in the backyard. However it all seems like a typically good Loop product. This is my 4th loop rod. So I'm already a fan. But what amazed me was the speed of delivery. Ordered the rod and had it in my hand in a week. That's Sweden to rural New South Wales ( in Australia ) in just a few days, including a weekend. Top notch effort and service.”

“I am very happy with Loop Sweden, however I am totally annoyed and disappointed with Loop Norway as I ordered a GDC Shooting Line S6/S7 #10 wt rod on 04/08/23, money taken from my account & no answer from their phone , I have rang approx 10 times & emailed 4 times & no response. The order id is 183743. I have listed this as a complaint on their Facebook page and will also go globally if required as this is totally unacceptable and damn bad business ethics. I am a regular customer of your site and the only reason I went to them is that they had this line in stock and you had not. I would appreciate if you can contact your associate in Norway and convey my utter disappointment in them and I will also be seeking legal advice regarding them debiting my account and no goods sent to me. A very disappointed customer. Stephen White Ireland”

Hi Stephen, We're very sorry to hear about this, however as we said in our response to your previous complaint six months ago, the company you're referring to have nothing to do with us. Once upon a time a business called LOOP Tackle Europe distributed our equipment in Norway, however we have not had any working relationship with them for many years now - hence why they only have really old stock. As such we're not able to help further your complaint with them, as we are not associated with them whatsoever. We hope you are able to find a solution to this issue, however please be mindful of dealing with non-official channels / distributors in the future, as we have no control over how these businesses operate.
