“Misleading membership and unexpected monthly charge!
I made a one-time purchase on Luxplus, but a paid membership was automatically added without my clear and informed consent. A monthly fee was charged later, even though I did not understand that I was signing up for an ongoing subscription.
I contacted customer service, but they refused to refund the charge and simply referred to their terms. I find this practice misleading, as a single purchase resulted in an unexpected recurring payment.
I cannot recommend Luxplus if you want to shop without the risk of hidden or unclear subscription charges.”
“Please be careful when using this company as they are a rip-off. I purchased something from them without realsing that I was becoming a member and as a consequece, agreeing to a monthly mebership fee of £8.99.
Obviously they aren't going to refund me as clearly their intention was to scam me and of course, it's also my own fault as I didn't read the accompanying information, as it was only ever my intention to purchase the specific item rather than using the company on a regular basis.
I've only given 1 star becasue it wouldn't allow me to write the review otherwise.”
