“I purchased a fully custom saddle for my horse and I following the recommendations of owner/fitter Henriette. She spoke negatively about other brands and promised a good fitting experience for my horse. We were allowed to test ride the saddle for a few minutes but she did not have one In the right size for me but she said that it would fit me super.
When the saddle arrived the tree was curved and rocked on my horse. She flocked it so the saddle was at a significant upward angle in order to make contact. She assured me all was good and left, but it caused severe soreness in my horse. I requested her to come back and she did, just outside of the 90 day return window. When i requested to return it she refused and offered me a 'sales price' that was 5k off what i had purchased it for. The customer service and fit on these is SO bad that I cannot get any interest in it. At all. Trainers actively tell their clients to never buy a macrider saddle.
Long story short - saddle quality is great but they're morons about fit. If you're bound and determined to buy one and hold onto it forever (since you can't sell it) buy used after a long trial and NEVER use Henriette as your fitter.”
