“Magenta Oxford - Great location, easy drive in loading bay, staff very helpful & supply me with a well needed coffee. Got a good deal on move and been happy with my experience would recommend using them.”

“Gave them notice I was finished with my unit which will mean I will have used just one week out of my pre-paid month. They will refund my unused weeks... but as per their "terms & conditions" they will take up to 21 days to do it !! So I pay them upfront and when they owe me money they get three whole weeks to send me what I'm owed. Sharp practice and pretty nasty customer service. I really wouldn't recommend Magenta at all. For same price I could have had Yellow who provide 24/7 secure access rather than just daytime and refunded unused weeks right away when I used them. Magenta, best avoided.”

Hi Pete, thanks for leaving a review about your experience with Magenta Storage. Unfortunately, due to most refunds being processed via Direct Debit we have to allow for bank errors which is why we may take up to 21 days. Most of the time our refunds are settled much quicker than that. I do apologise if this procedure caused you any inconvenience.

“Magenta St Albans has always been very helpful and available when I need them. I have relied on their service whilst out of the country so dependability is important to me. The conditions are dry and climate controlled and I have never had any problems with damp, theft or lack of access. In fact they are easy to park outside and move property in and out. I recommend them.”

“I got behind on my payments because I had to go back overseas to home rather quickly. I did become up-to-date once I returned to the UK. I feel I was harassed considerably by the branch and I had tried to explain that in my line of work I am not sitting at a computer all day and don't have access constantly. I have also asked several times about a new unit as mine is an upper one and I feel it is dangerous for me to be on a ladder trying to retrieve my stuff. I have been told that no help would be available to assist me get my stuff from the back of the upper locker. Why do you not have a tool that can be borrowed for people to use in theses instances? The depth of a locker especially as a woman i just cannot access heavy suitcases etc. I admit that once i had paid my overdue account I was treated better.”

Thank you for you review of Magenta Storage and I'm sorry if you felt harassed when your bill became due. We recommend that all customers sign up for payment by direct debit, that way we don't have to call you to take a payment each time. Regarding the top lockers, we understand that they're not easy to use and we are investigating some alterations that can be made to make access a bit easier.

“Helpful staff, lots of parking, good security. There are occasional problems with facilities (lifts, lights etc) - but staff always go out of their way to sort them out promptly and keep customers informed of progress. Staff have even organised man with van for me (phoned them up, given them instructions etc). Really great service.”

Thank you for your positive review of Magenta Storage. Unfortunately, we do have problems with the lift from time to time. It's one of the most heavily used features of a storage facility and inevitably requires regular servicing. Thank you very much for your positive comments about our staff, they take great pride in the services they provide and it's fantastic to get confirmation of this from our customers.

“We have had several storage spaces at Magenta St Albans over the years and have always found them very easy to use. the building is always easily accessible and kept very clean and tidy and there is a lot of helpful information in the form of posters etc. The office staff have always been very helpful and friendly when we have needed them. they also stock a good range of packing materials and boxes.”

“I'm a long-standing customer of Magenta and find them extremely helpful, I wouldn't go to anyone else for storage and always recommend them to others. But we were disappointed to find that a corridor light outside our unit, which was not working in May, was STILL not working when we came on October 28th. As the units have no interior lights, it is vital that the corridor lights are working because you cannot see inside the unit, we had to pull everything out just to locate the items we had come to collect and will have to bring torches next time.”

Thank you for your review of Magenta Storage and I'm terribly sorry that the light issue was not rectified sooner. Recently, however, we have started upgrading our lighting so that bulbs are more reliable.
