“A friend treated me for an afternoon tea for my birthday. It started off well with good service.
My friend soon found a hair in one of her sandwiches. Not good! …..but these things though unacceptable, do happen occasionally. I later also found a hair in one of my cakes. This was too much to be a one off. I obviously complained. I was offered replacement food. This was not acceptable to me after being put off by their poor hygiene level. I was then told we would only need to pay half the bill. The staff member was apologetic and said that she would clear the food away straight away. This didn’t happen. We left!”
