“We have a saw that is only 14 months old. It went bad and it was hardly used. We called Makita to see if they would assist us with another one and they told us to kick rocks. DO NOT BUY MAKITA.”
“Absolute garbage company these days. Sent a unit back for warranty repair. An engine mount cracked and the carburetor kept falling off if I didn’t tighten bolts every other day. They told me there was no oil in it and the motor was locked up and it was my problem since there was no oil. When I got it back, I cranked it and ran it til it was no longer safe to do so. Go Stihl or Milwaukee if you want quality. Very disappointed with what this company has become.”
“I purchased a Makita 36v lawn mower on 9-22-22. I used twice that year, a few times in 23, and when I went to use it in 24, the batteries would not hold a charge. I call Makita, they said I would have to send the batteries to Makita. Makita sent me a shipping label and stated that they would contact me as soon as they received the batteries. They did not. After more than 2 months, I called them. They said that they found my batteries setting on the shelf and tested them and there was nothing wrong with them. I asked for new batteries, they said no. So where I stand, I paid $570 for a lawn mower that I was able to use about 10 times and Makita refuses to honor their warranty. Never again.”
“Absolutely disappointed!
I spent over $1400 on new tools, batteries, and everything switching from Milwaukee and regret it. The drill doesn’t work. The chuck slips constantly went out and bought a new drugs. I took two months for them to repair the broken one and they sent me it back broken without fixing it and said they fixed it.”
