“Have always gone to Manor Furniture for our furniture etc needs as I like to support independent businesses and have always been happy they have good knowledge and it feels a personal service.
I went looking for a new mattress and told the salesman I have a mattress but it dips and I don’t want the same thing to happen. The salesman showed me the Harrison display and we ended up buying the top of the range Ascher super king mattress costing £2,300 (and that price was the mattress only) After a few months it started dipping and now nearly 3 years later it looks awful and is uncomfortable. When the mattress comes with a 10 year guarantee I thought enough is enough.
So I contacted Manor Furniture, a gentleman came out to inspect the mattress and we were told that it is normal settlement. I said you can’t change your sleeping position because you just roll back - he said yes that’s right you can’t!! He also said ALL mattresses dip !!
So IF you are thinking about buying a Harrison mattress - save your money. They look quality but they are SO HEAVY and bearing in mind you have to turn/rotate them every week for 12 weeks and then monthly it is extremely difficult to do. Which they do not mention when you buy it. If an elderly couple bought it they would not be able to do it.
I have bought a Simba Sleep mattress which is 100% more comfortable than the Harrison, and cost a fraction.
Extremely disappointed customer because I feel that I was mis-sold. If he had said it will definitely dip there is no way I would have bought it.”
