I ordered a toy for store collection and it went out of stock. I was informed by Maplin team and they gave me an option of refund (if I want to cancel the order) or free home delivery (if I can retain the order)

I reserved a product online and recieved an email telling me it'll be 30 minutes before I can pick up my product but they reserved it for me in 10 minutes and didn't sell it to someone else (unlike Currys who seem to always sell things I've reserved)

I had an awkward problem to do with cable that needed solving. The staff member was enthusiastic and knowledgeable and really helped me sort it. To paraphrase Arnie, I will be back.

Ok for a quick go too and have a reasonable range and a rather broad selection the prices make it somewhere I only am willing to use if I am in a hurry.

They haven't really. Told me in the shop there is a 30 day 'no quibble' guarantee, but have now said that the shop were wrong, it doesn't cover drones!

The staff in Maplin are always really helpful and have a chat with you. It's just a shame a lot of the products are no longer available in store so you have to order onlin and wait for delivery. Prices are more expensive than pc world ect so I will be changing where I buy my pc parts.

When I go into a shop and explain exactly what I want and am told by the operative that she doesn't know if they have a solution, then I begin to despair. I need a door bell (Americans call them Chimes) that is compatible with the home security device Ring,com. I can get a list of compatible devices from Ring.com's own web sites so I know what I'm looking for. To be told to make enquiries with any of the listed companies, because they don't stock any of the manufacturers on the list is really not acceptable because Maplin themselves sell the Ring.com product! Surely I just can not be the first person to have walked into Maplin with that request? Anyway, I then went to B & Q and bought the product - one of those listed - from the shelf. QED

Everything went well with the purchase online until it came to me receiving the items. I was advised by e-mail that the item had been dispatched and would arrive on a specific date. I went to collect item on the day after the specified date and the shop workers were unable to find it or have any record of the purchase. I wrote to customer services multiple times and never received a reply within a month. I decided to return to the shop and ask again, this time they found my items.

Visited Hereford store today for RCA cable shop assistant showed me the type I wanted cheapest price £12.99. I advised him that your web page had them for £1.87 which he found on the website as well. I asked him to order one for collection at store and he told me I could do it directly but 'it was no skin off his nose' and his attitude was rude. I eventually ordered it from eBay as I do now want anything from Maplin.

Item ordered was faulty, still waiting for return reference number, without it I can't return it, the help line is out of service other numbers unobtainable, they do not respond to their own message service, not worth 1 star.

This company does not even deserve a 1 star! I placed an order (#000438710) for a christmas ppresent (Nat Geo Telescope) on 12 December 2020 which was listed as 'in stock', however I have yet to recieve this! On 25 January 2021, I recieved a text message stating my order was at their warehouse and had been dispatched and again still no order! This really is disgraceful service. I have written to Maplin several times by email to enquiry where my order is and not once has anyone bothered to respond to my queries. I have also submitted several online 'contact us' forms from your website, again which now one has acknowledged. Avoid like the plague!!!

Wow, I can’t be more clear to you guys, this company is very untrustworthy, they have even gone as far as blocking peoples trust pilot accounts, flagging there reviews. I purchased two items I never received, I have had to go through hoops to get my money back, I’m still £59 out of pocket, please believe every bad review you see on this post, they are completely true. This company are very devious, all I want is all my money back that I’m rightfully entilted two, but they are making this the worst customer service experience in the world right now .

Terrible service, still waiting on my order 7 days after initial delivery date. Company states delivery's have been attempted over last week , funny enough I was at home all those days! No delivery attempted, no card left. Customer service stopped responding! Save your self the hustle and order else where I would rather pay more then having to ever deal with such head ache. Don't put money in pockets of companies who don't appreciate your hard earned money.

Everything, glad those guys went into administration, no wonder really. Their after sales is absolutely rubbish, I bought a Yale smart lock that was draining the batteries within 1 week and their manager in Reading claimed it's not faulty and that I need to deal with Yale warranty he was so rude he even said I was telling lies when I said we were locked out twice because of the battery issues.

On my visit to Maplin at Maidstone today (15/03/2018) I was totally disgusted with their member of staff who could not be at all bothered to even listen to me, let alone answer my questions. I was intending buying a WD My Cloud drive plus an SD Card. The assistant just continued ignoring me and walking away from me. Obviously I was in the way so I just left the store. . It's not surprising this business is going down the plug-hole. Shame that no-one takes the business seriously and makes it's branches act responsibly towards it's customers.
