“Bought a V33S to fit between the standpipe and U-bend on a standpipe appliance trap but the nut and thread on the V33S are the wrong way round, the nut at the top and the thread at the bottom but between standpipe and U-bend the thread on the upside of the U-bend the nut at the bottom of the standpipe.”

“Bought an SC 10 from Screwfix. Package was sealed but circumferential seal at outlet to waste was missing. Fortunately had old one to replace.”

“I’ve just lifted my manhole on my drive and placed this device (. McALPINE ANT-RODENT BARRIER) on the toilet outlet pipe fits perfect 4” pipe, seems to work fine so really pleased unless someone tells me otherwise.”

“Seal to pipe does not work or rubber seal missing. No help on this site so don’t know is something is missing but does not seal to 11/2” pipe Why is it so hard to design a gravity flow system”

“I needed a trap to fit a small space under a Carron Eco bath and the WV 1 although a good fit leaked around the end cap. I tightened the screws but that did not solve the issue. I ended up sealing the cap with Sticks Like. Perhaps you should put a gasket on the cap fitting.”

“This is brilliant. I have worried for years how I would replaced the shorter-than-standard pop-up waste in our bathroom and this design solves every problem imaginable. It seals perfectly and feels as though it's doing so too, which gives confidence, and there's just the right amount of thread for the trap without it being too long (too low for my outlet pipe) or too short (can't get it to seal). I was puzzled as to how it might work, but mine (from ToolStation) came with an instruction sheet, which I'm posting here for the benefit of others. Apparently there are longer ferrules available for deep basins... I wondered if it might be better simply to supply a longer one that could be cut to length but that's just a thought and would mean more work on site. As it was, it took me less than 5 minutes to fit and test. As I said: brilliant!”

“No install guidance with product. Pack shows QR code for installation instructions, which takes you to herbal website, where you can't find install instructions. May be wrong product, but unlike other suppliers, not enough information on screwfix to work out how this product works”
