“Garbage company shut down my account after spending over $2,000 on the device and apps. Wanted verification of identify. I did that and I got the account back and a month later same thing for a different reason. Now I have to provide a drivers license or passport. I DID THAT AND STILL HAVE TO WAIT 2 DAYS FOR A REVIEW. “When oculus quest 2 came out, it was one of the most amazing products on so many different levels. Playing "games" was not even the best thing about it. It had incredible therapeutic as well as fitness and meditation benefits. There was a time when I would have shouted from the rooftops to tell people that it was worth investing in this system. However, the sheer disregard and lack of transparency that Meta has shown to me has utterly and COMPLETELY REVERSED any good reviews and/or feelings I had toward the system or the company.
I have literally spent thousands on several headsets, gear, and games. Furthermore, I have gone out of my way to promote and encourage others to purchase oculus quest 2 as I knew that the people around me would benefit greatly from it.
When a problem arose with my own headset, I didn't really worry because upon speaking with customer service, they said they would send a new one. I waited patiently and was so excited when it finally arrived only to find that neither the controllers nor the app would pair(connect) with the new headset. I was floored when I called them with this information only to find out that not only were they not surprised but KNEW this was an issue well before it happened to me. They sent a refurbished one well aware it would not work as it is not even capable of connecting to wifi which is needed to pair controllers and phone app. Their response to this is they are working on it but have no known ballpark of when it might be resolved.
What a low down, dirty, underhanded way to treat the people spending EXTREMELY hard earned money on your products and accessories!!! Why has the Meta company not fixed this issue?! Why keep pretending you care about your consumers when sending them bogus replacement equipment you know for a fact won't work?! I am disgusted by the total lack of concern Meta has shown it's customers pertaining to this huge issue.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR PRECIOUS MONEY ON ANY META PRODUCTS. You can purchase perfectly good paper weights at the Dollar Tree for a whole lot less.”
