“The good:
Excellent welcome on arrival and staff were attentive. Ambiance was lovely, with a relaxed, classic steakhouse feel. Good menu choice with plenty of options to suit different tastes.
The letdown:
I ordered the fillet steak, expecting it to be the most tender cut. Unfortunately it was anything but tender. It was a scraggy end of fillet, with lots of stringy sinew and very fibrous. I flagged this and my plate was taken away to replace the steak.
Service issue:
In the meantime, my fellow diners had finished their meals by the time my replacement arrived. When it did come back, the second steak was equally not the best. Still tough and not what you’d expect from a premium fillet at Miller & Carter prices.
Overall:
Great welcome and setting, but very disappointed with the quality of the fillet steak and the timing. For a steakhouse that trades on quality cuts, I expected much better.

“Arrived for table booked for 7pm 7. 20pm before we were seated. Lamp on table would of been nice if it had been lit. Don't expect to book a table and be left waiting for 20 minutes. Service could of been better left long time before order was taken and big gap between courses. Shouldn't take bookings if can't cope. Starter was lovely but afraid main wasn't so good my steak had a lot of fat on it. Overall medoca meal for very expensive price £102.2 steaks and 2 starters 2 drinks. Not impressed. Had better for less”
