“wow fantastic used this service to check a car as I was a bit worried about the car seemed too perfect. Glad that I did as the mileage had been tamperd with. This service saved me a lot of money, and problems .”

“I purchased the middle value option, so as to check finance, as well as mileage, ownership and insurance issues. Your report confirmed that there was outstanding finance on the vehicle - WHICH WAS TOTALLY INCORRECT. HPI ran a full check later that day, whcih showed there was no finance outstanding. Your inaccurate report almost scuppered a legitimate sale!”

“Checked out a car we were buying from a dealership, just in case. To my surprise the car did have outstanding finance on it, but a call to the mycarcheck, explained it was a short term finance that the dealership had taken out and was assured this would not be problem.”

“A local dealer was in the process of ordering a 'nearly new' car for me via a website that I had not previously heard of. I therefore checked with you that the car existed and that its specification was as listed on the data that he gave me. Your check-up confirmed that it was as described. I have now purchased the car and it is fine! So the service you gave me was very satisfactory.”

“Allowed me to buy privately with confidence ...the first one picked up a mileage discrepancy ...but the second had a finance report but was sorted by my car check staff as it was an old record from new and got it removed ...thanks”

“I could not finalize my payment, because their secure webpage is using SHA1 certificate. Modern browsers (like Firefox, Chrome) are not accepting security certificates made with obsolete SHA1 algorithm.”

Hi Piotr, thanks for giving us this feedback. So that we can investigate further, please can you provide additional information. We have never encountered this issue during testing and have never had it reported to us previously. Can you confirm which page you were on, what you saw and what message you were given? Thanks.

Hi Piotr, I have confirmed with our web services team that the live payment sites and the My Car Check site have SHA256 SSL certificates on them. Any SHA1 occurrence would have been through the 3rd party payment system. If you can pass on more detail about your experience, this will help us work with our partners to correct any possible issues. Thanks.
