I am 62 and have been renting a majority of my adult life. About 3 years ago I came really close to signing on the dotted line for a home and sadly, it fell through at the last minute. Flash forward to present day, I am in the document gathering phase of getting a home with NACA. So far so good. I thought having to do a budget was going to kill me off! It was humbling to see how much money I spend on fast food! 😁 I'm excited to see what the future holds and hope to one day share my testimonial at a NACA event. Thank you and best of luck to us all! Jean

NACA is truly the best home buying program. I started the process a couple of months ago and things have been going smooth. The staff at the Houston office are very helpful and Carl my counselor is the absolute best. He is always reachable and available to answer any questions. My dream of owning a home is actually becoming a reality. Thank you NACA

NACA, so far is not so great, you get push from counsel to another, if you disagree with there policy. Like privacy and aknowing the faces of who you are sharing your information with. It some counselor ways or the highway. Meaning by by. I not a quiter, I'm sticking in there because where it started and who started it,a man with a heart. Boston was good to my family, all are coming out of college, because of the programs they offer, SC homeless is growing, I'm one them, home firer, but I will not give up. I have faith, and know a change going to come. Please don't ever give up a dream. NACA is good. But the outcome is in progress.

Started the process about a month and half ago. I will say they want a lot of information however my counselor has been amazing with answering all my questions and having patience with me. Will be worth it in the end saving over 500 a month.

Me and my wife started working with NACA in the middle of 2023. Our counselor Andrea Haqq has worked with us in getting through the qualification process. We are week away from the approval process and by thus summer should be 1st time home owners.

NACA is not worth the hassle to work with. I tried and tried to get an approval and got the run around even though credit is great, income is great. Go to a local brokerage and get priced out and approved. It takes less time to go with a private mortgage brokerage than it is to spend your quality time with NACA reps. Do yourself a favor and go shopping for a mortgage elsewhere. What a waste of my time and effort to try and get approved with them. Stay Away from NACA

NACA takes sometime to process and get qualified for a home loan as it has several members. The program is suppose to support no down payment and no closing costs in order to buy a house. Check it out!

Although I completed the workshop with NACA in June 2023 I didn't start the process until March 2024. One month in and I can say that my counselor Julio has been very helpful, kind and understanding. Our initial session went very well and he was very patient with every questions I had. I understand that the process may be a little long but I hope with the help they offer with budgeting, saving and getting my financial goals in order , very, very soon I will be a homeowner and not house poor. I do recommend NACA to every first time homebuyers.

ā€œ I have just started the process to become a homeowner. Although NACA has lots of requirements to follow it is worth it to become a member. I am very happy that NACA educates you on how to become a homeowner and walks you through the steps that you can take to become successful." Once you follow their advise I am sure you can reach your gold of being qualified".

NACA makes it very easy to navigate the website. I was able to complete the workshop online at my own pace so that was great. After completing my workshop, I was unsure if I wanted to pay the fee because I did not know when I would get an appointment with the counselor. The lady that took my call was able to view the next available counselor and assigned me. My counselor is Ellen and she was very nice and during the counseling meeting. She was patient with me and very nice to talk to. I'm excited for this process and the next steps.

NACA is a great program for a first homebuyer. The initial appointment was very informative. Getting to know more about NACA has been such a great experience most especially working with my counselor. Latasha Augustine has been very resourceful and hospitable at every step of the way. I would recommend NACA to everyone! I am excited to find my first home.

Although very tedious in certain aspects, NACA has offered me exceptional service thus far in my homebuying journey. My mortgage loan agent, Antonio, has been kind, efficient, and transparent since our very first meeting (which was scheduled last minute, but he was still prepared for!). They are straightforward about what is realistic for your current circumstances and homeownership which makes the knowledge received during this process invaluable. If you aren't a hard-worker, someone who is fairly organized, or committed to seeing processes through, this program may yield challenging or not a good fit for you. But, if you are a first-time buyer with limited knowledge and experience of the real estate market from a personal standpoint, I think NACA is a wonderful program with promising return for the future of members who trust the process and ride it out.
