Opened a case through PayPal and instantly got called saying if I close my case they will process the refund and found out apparently my initial request had been forgotten.

Contact seller to cancel as I won't be at delivery address after 10/08 (something I told them on the phone on 07/08)
Seller (who is no longer pleasant) claims DHL already collected & won't refund
I contact Paypal for a refund.

I was then offered the choice of a refund (at this point they have had in excess of £1,000 of my money in their account) or wait another week and they will order another one (obviously no guarantee that I would receive it then either, which would mean another week with my money in their account.
