“Nextzen Book Publisher handled the complete production process for my non-fiction book, covering developmental editing, interior typesetting, cover wrapper adjustments, and global distribution setup on KDP and IngramSpark.
The manuscript review began with a detailed editorial pass focused on structural flow, chapter transitions, and baseline grammar corrections. Tracking changes took roughly eight business days, after which the updated document moved directly into line formatting.
For the print layout, the technical setup required specific trim parameters (6x9 inches) with customized running headers and page numbering. The initial PDF proof had a minor issue where two block quotes in the third chapter lost their indented formatting and the outer cover bleed was slightly misaligned for the hardcover spine specifications. Their production team adjusted the source files and returned compliant, print-ready PDFs within 48 hours.
The digital conversion phase went just as smoothly. Epub files were validated without dead links or display glitches across multiple e-readers, while metadata, ISBN assignments, target category indexing, and price tier configurations were applied across both retail accounts. Distribution channels passed automated file verification checks on the first upload attempt.
Communication remained structured and project-focused throughout, utilizing email milestones rather than unnecessary calls. The total turnaround time from raw manuscript submission to store release was just under three weeks, and the project is now completely finalized and live for distribution.”
