O2 recycle seems a good idea at first glance. You send in your items and they pay you. Firstly they give you a quote and then when the item is received they say it's broken or there is a problem with it and half your quote. If you accept which I did, you would expect the payment to be processed quickly. After all they are reselling the items and using their components. I was wrong ...weeks go by and the number just rings for 30 mins then cuts you off. I finally got through to a guy called Victor which repeated the email and could not help or update me on anything. O2 has got to be the worst telecom company I've ever dealt with. Zero customer service and a complete waste of my time.

Terrible experience. Had to wait 4 weeks after continuous phone calls and emails to find out why my phone had been damaged. Apparently in transit???. Still not sure what happened to it but customer service was diabolical and very ignorant. I certainly will never use this service again and I will not recommend this to anyone.

Appaling experience with INGRAM MICRO / O2 Recycle programme. Traded in my old iphone device (11 64GB) and was quoted £131.25 online. I sent the phone off with their prepaid packaging and label via Royal Mail. The cardboard box they sent me looked way too flimsy and after searching around the house, I managed to find the old phone's original box and placed the device carefully and taped the box tightly with thick sella tape to ensure it stayed safe in place. The phone was in excellent condition, no damage to it. Today I got an email from O2 Recycle saying that due to 'screen burn' they could only offer £26.25!!! And that I had 48 hrs to accept the new price offer or cancel the trade-in and have my device sent back to me. I find this shocking as I checked the phone prior to sending it and it was in great condition with no damage to the screen, no screen burn or any other image retention or display issues. I rang O2 Customer Service to make an official formal complaint and was passed around from pillar to post as no one could assist me with my query. I have emailed O2 Recycle requesting photographic proof of the 'screen burn' damage they claim they found before I foolishly accept their laughable 'revised' trade-in price and confirm that it's actually my phone that they checked! Keep your old device IMEI number handy people, in case you might need it! Regretting upgrading with O2 now big time. I hope they sort this out soon enough! Feels like the biggest scam ever!!!

Absolutely appalling experience. I sent my phone in, in perfect condition, only for O2 Recycle to tell me that the screen is cracked and sent me a photo of it. They're now claiming that it wasn't them and their 'T&Cs' protect them, meaning the blame has been put back on me as the customer (for not taking a photo of my phone before I sent it - where was the advice on doing that in the first place O2?) and I lose out on the money they quoted me for the phone. Not only that but I requested for it to be sent back to me 2 weeks ago and it still hasn't arrived. So not only have O2 damaged my phone, they have now likely lost it too. I have complained to O2 Recycle who have fobbed me off with terrible excuses and I have also complained to the official O2 complaints department who have just ignored me. I have been a loyal customer of O2 for almost 2 decades and I cannot believe how I've been treated. Is someone going to respond to me now that I'm sharing my review??

Don't be fooled into thinking the process with o2 will be quick. Delivery tracking showed that my package was received by them at 7am on Monday, it was 12pm on Wednesday before they even confirmed that they'd received it. Furthermore, they will do everything in their power to pay you as little as possible. My original quote was 75, however, I then received an email saying that my revised price was 38 and that payment would be sent in to says rather than same day as their website indicates. I went on to call them, only to be told that the revised quote in the email was wrong at that they'd actually be sending me a payment of 19. They will rip you off. Use MusicMagpie, stay as far away from o2 Recycle as possible. This was a truly disgusting experience for me.
