I have 16 mths remaining on a fixed home loan, 4.95% but I'm contemplating breaking and moving to a variable loan because I read that rates may be going down. I have been told that the breaking fee would be $2800, I would like to remain with the same bank. Can you please tell where to seek advise on these matters. Sincerely, William.
