"I recently purchased stadium turf from Online Turf, and I couldn't be happier with my decision! From start to finish, the entire experience was seamless, and the product itself is nothing short of excellent. First off, the website is incredibly user-friendly. Ordered from Online Turf on Tuesday 19th September. Delivery arrived to our house on Thursday 21st September. However, as soon as they arrived, they declared they could not place the pallets outside our house due to an issue with our dropped kerb being “high”, when it is 3 inches high. They did not state this or tell me anything of this when we were getting it delivered. We have never had problems with any delivery, we have had turf delivered 3 years ago with another company and it was completely fine. This year due to our garden renovations, we have had so many heavy garden tiles delivered, no problems then whatsoever, including having deliveries with our garden extension. Then, we told them an alternate address they made more excuses and said there’s a hump near that area and they cannot deliver. I gave a final address, which was my shop (had a massive yard, and a perfect driveway), they then made an excuse of it being a “red route” area. We were left with no option, no refund policy either. Then, on Monday, we decided to pay another builder from Builder Trade to come, and hire a pallet lifter truck to go to their Depot, and collect the turf instead. This was very inconvenient, and I had to pay extra to another builder whilst Online Turf had taken delivery charges as well. The builder went, and had to wait outside the Depot for 2 hours, after being served. Then we had to ring them, and they finally brought someone to help unload. The builder we asked, his pallet lifter truck was the same as Online Turf’s, and had no problems whatsoever. To top this off, since the grass was supposed to be here on Thursday they have kept it rolled up, and left to dry. Bearing in mind we ordered the most expensive turf on the website. A waste of money and unnecessary stress.

We ordered 266m2 and 63 rolls had large patches of the grass blackened dead/dying and had a strong smell of what seemed like a burnt chemical. We laid it and realised it was dead and replaced it with non-blackened turf, all done within 24 hours of delivery as recommended. The turf was delivered Saturday and I contacted them on the Tuesday after the bank holiday weekend and received a very poor response from Chrissie Handley in customer services, questioning the "alleged "burnt chemical" smell," [direct quote from Chrissie] and telling me no refund would be given. We were only asking for a partial refund on the unusable turf. We are now stuck with 63 rolls of dead and blackened turf we cannot use and will be an additional cost to remove from our driveway. Order from them at your own risk.

I find it quite ironic that on the day I receive a response to my complaint to Online Turf I also receive an email asking me to review them. Be warned, there are a number of good reviews don't get me wrong but my experience was certainly not as joyful as others. Having ordered turf to come on a set day and having lined up people to lay the turf the following day we thought we had planned well. The first issue was the turf did not arrive on the day planned and we had no communication from Online Turf to inform us of the delay. The following day we were constantly promised various times of when it would arrive so our labour continued to sit around waiting . At 4pm the day after the turf was meant to arrive and with now sign of it coming we had to send the labour home at a cost of £200 to us. When contacting Online Turf they kindly focused on informing us when our refund would arrive and promptly dismissed and responsibility for the delays. As you can imagine they also weren't willing to contribute to the financial loss their delays cost us. Whats the point of offering a set day delivery service if it doesn't arrive. Ironically the couriers tried to deliver it 5 days later calling us when they were a few minutes away. Obviously Online Turf hadn't informed them of our cancelled order. A complete waste of time and given my poor customer experience I wouldn't recommend them to my worse enemy. Complete time wasters.

The state of the turf was very poor on delivery. Some rolls were yellow, some were brown, and none of them were green as they're supposed to be. Also, some of the edges were torn and some of them were not straight at all making it impossible to align two rolls together. There was also plastic stuck to the turf that I couldn't remove. When I called this morning to discuss my order I was shocked that the representative on the phone hardly let me explain my problem to start with and kept interrupting me. I was told repeatedly, and with a lot of attitude, that the state of the turf was due to the hot weather and it being wrapped (wrapped and unwatered) for a day before delivery! I have been told to keep watering and call back in a couple of weeks if the turf does not recover. I am of course very disappointed with the state of the product on delivery, the money spent with this company including topsoil, the hours spent in labour and more importantly the arrogance of the representative and how my complaint was received and dealt with. I've taken pictures and videos of its state as soon as it was delivered for the reference.

From the order to delivery and letting me know when to mown the grass - everything was tip top. The grass itself is fabulous. Would highly recommend this guys.
