“I ordered a number of items in good time for my aunts 80th birthday lunch on a Saturday. I requested delivery on the Friday. On the Wednesday before I received a call to say the colour of balloons I asked for was not available, so I selected another colour. I was told that my parcel was being sent next day delivery, the next day as there were helium balloons in it. On Friday morning I received a message from the courier company to say that the order was coming on Saturday, but it was likely to come before midday. I called Party Pieces on Friday afternoon. I was told to phone the courier myself, even though I had no way of the doing that. I pointed out that I was not the client, they were. They said they would call them. They didn't call me back. Eventually I called them and was told that the courier company were not very helpful. Inevitably my parcel arrived at 4pm the next afternoon, after the lunch was finished. I wrote to ask for a refund and was asked to return all of the items. I said I would keep most of the items as I could use them for another birthday. I asked for a refund for the helium balloons as they could not be used. I suggested I throw them away as I presume they cannot be used. 4 weeks after the party I still have a large unopened box in my hallway and no reply, despite many emails.This company is hopeless, do not be tempted to order anything from them!”
“If I could give zero stars I would. I spent approx £80 on balloons and decorations for my son's 30th birthday party. I paid £6.95 delivery for these to be delivered the day before to ensure I received them in time to decorate the room. My contract with Party Pieces starts from when I place an order till when I receive the goods. This also a time sensitive order. Time is of the essence which means that time has value. Despite speaking to 2 separate members of staff their attitude seemed to be that it was DPD fault and if I wanted any refunds I was to email and they would investigate. No offer to actually resolve my issue. I then spent another 30 minutes trying to speak to someone at DPD who confirmed it was not being delivered today.
I am so furious and upset about this. Their whole business model is about party decorations be that for birthdays, weddings, christenings etc. These are all time sensitive occasions. So when they ask on their website when you would like the decorations to be delivered the date that is provided is important and shouldnt be missed.
Things go wrong but I am have experienced very poor customer service. I would not recommend using this company for your special occasion. They will let you down and do nothing to help you and resolve it.”
“Extremely disappointed with my recent experience with Party Pieces. I've been a loyal customer for 16 years, consistently relying on them for my daughters' birthdays. However, this time around, the quality was shockingly poor. It appears there may have been a change in management, and it's had a detrimental effect on their products.
I purchased the balloon arch, a staple for our celebrations, only to find that the tape provided had been substituted with flimsy paper that kept tearing. Despite resorting to using Scotch tape to reinforce it, the nightmare continued when the balloons began deflating almost immediately.
I promptly lodged a complaint with Party Pieces, but it's been a month with no response. The lack of acknowledgment or resolution is unacceptable. Sadly, this experience has tarnished my trust in their brand, and I will not be purchasing from them again.”

The downside was a lack of communication especially on the tracking , it was stressful not knowing if and when the cake would arrive .

“I tried to get a refund of something that i ordered that was £17.95. No they didn’t give me a refund (baring in mind it hadn’t even been shipped yet), no they charge me twice, so all together £38.88. Dont order from here😒😒”

“The variety and quality of the products is fantastic and the site lacks the usual rubbish found on other party supplies websites. The prices are fair, but I am not keen on the cakes having ordered before and the topper was stuck to the wrapping and there was a lot of icing. But the other non-perishable products are good quality.”
