“Surprising high quality. Very ergonomic. I don’t play anything on my phone without. My only issue was the Backbone app almost tricking me into the membership. I was a little taken back by that.. I will for sure be getting a membership, but because of the trickery I’m going to hold off as long as possible. Just being honest here. Other than some membership design issues, the team at Backbone crafted a 10/10 device.”

“The controller is so good. I play it with Xbox gamepass all the time. I play it a lot. My controller joystick was acting funny and Backbone replaced it within the week. Great customer service”

“I bought a backbone when I was traveling a lot for a move. I really wanted to play Destiny 2. Tried various streaming options and landed on Xcloud and Stadia. Great services. Now the device itself is very useful. I can run xbox party chat with beats headphones because the audio is routed with my iPhone (12 pro max). This feature is absolutely killer because I have several Bluetooth headphones that aren’t compatible with the Xbox. It is a comfortable device to hold even for a person with large hands. The switch, for me, was uncomfortable, but the backbone is great. The controller is responsive and the buttons are smooth. I almost prefer it over my traditional Xbox gaming experience. D2, assassins creed, and Chrono Trigger on handheld everywhere I go. The unit I purchased began to have left stick drift after several months. I reported it to backbone and they replaced it without issue. Strong customer service. A1 company and will gift backbones to my friends in the future.”

“Best controller ever that I have seen so far for iphone. Setup is easy and fast. Does what is supposed to do. A little bit pricey, but in my opinion it is worth it!”

“$100 is a little steep for the controller, but it’s been a solid piece of tech so far. The glaring downside is the $50 a year to use the software, which is a glorified game hub. $50 a year just to make switching games slightly easier and a few lobby options is kind of crazy. If this was maybe $60 and the premium software wasn’t pushed it would be 10/10”

“First off Amazing app integration. It’s the best part only sad I didn’t get it sooner and have to pay for it. The controller is really good but I have one recommendation. Make it lock into place when fully open so the phone can be placed into it without fighting. The iPhone 13 pro max is a pretty tight fit and this one change could make it so much better. All in all I love the controller and will be using it for a very long time.”

“This thing is awesome. Setup is a bit of a hassle with all the streaming services to choose from, but once you’re in your first game you forget all about it. The gaming experience really is similar to using a console and as I travel a lot I’m very happy with my purchase.”
